Arg.  Another hurdle?  NO!  Not right.  Not fair!  I would think that if it's neurological, wouldn't gaba be the better med?  Or if there's some sneaky inflammation, some steroids?  Do either of those make her loopy?  Does she have a harness yet?

I'm thinking about you!!!!  I'm hoping the best for Bailey!!!  Keep us posted.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Katy,

We have a harness and we go today at 2:30.  2 tramadol makes her so lethargic that I check to see if she's breathing.  But she's seeing pink elephants right now.  She cried all night on one tramadol and it's breaking my heart.  I just wish she could tell me if she has had enough.

HOME ONCE AGAIN! Bailey went through more x-rays on her hind legs and her spine looking to see if she had a tumor from the cancer spreading. Good news bad news. But I think its good, good. They don't know what it is other than she 'definitely has a pulled muscle on her left hind leg (like butt muscle) and because she needs both her legs to push up on she cries because it's painful. She did see a neurologist and the surgeon besides her doctor and then more x-rays to rule out a cracked knee cap. Whew. I'm so glad and hope this works... came home with anti-inflammatory drugs and tramadol for pain at night. This little girl needs a break.

feeling relieved.

Thanks to all my supporters.  Sorry this is on three threads... I guess I didn't realize it when I did it.

Bailey is sleeping on her bed a little worked up from the doctors visit and car ride to say the least.  They want to hear from us in three days or sooner if she gets worse... so we hope this works.  Prayers to all my tripawd family.  Love ya'll!

Yeah, I've been responding all over the place!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAY. BAILEY!!!!

And quite frankly...and I ain't no stinkin' onco/nuerolo..whatever....but I wouldn't think three days is enough time to see much improvemen! Iv had pulled muscles before and it sure hurt a lot longer than that!

NOW YOU CAN RELAX AND DISH OUT THE ICE CREAM AND TUMMY RUBS!!!! I guess a few butt massages would be helpful too!way-cool

HUGS!

Sally and Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Well, I'm relieved to read that after all the xrays they didn't find any mets!  That's HUGE!!!!  Now, if we can find a way to keep her drugged up, albeit whining, and quiet so she can rest off that muscle pull, that'd be helpful.  I guess it's up to you to be near her so when she needs to shift, you can support her with her harness.  Ice packs can help with inflammation, too!  And ice in your cocktails will help you relax and try to ignore her well-documented noisy side effects!  Try to take some comfort knowing the drugs are helping and that her noises aren't indicative of pain...although I totally understand that it's not the most restful of times for her.

BEST WISHES for a day of relaxin'!
