Also, the reason we reduced her meds is because Bailey is so sensitive and I was talking to Ellen and I know she's not a doctor but she said that after I told her we did that and her ears perked up a little and she started to curl (jack knifed) when she was sleeping instead of like someone pushed her over... I just wish she would eat... she does have tears but I don't know what to do.  I hate to keep giving her drugs when they make her loopy and she can't walk then she cries... so it's a guessing game, I just wish she could talk and tell me what's hurting.

I sure hope she gets into acupuncture and the vets find some answer this week Tracy. I wish I could do or suggest more but other than getting that next opinion, that's the best thing I can think of.

Be strong, listen to your heart and Bailey's, and know that we are here for you.

BALEY, DEAR SWEET BAILEY.....IF ONLY LOVE COULD HEAL...WOW!!! You would be up and running in no time!! I KNOW you are feeling more loving and more spoiling than you ever thought possible.

And y our mom is doing a splendid job of being a great nervous eater...OREOS...CAKE....Outatanding portrayal of a nervous eater!!! Yes, I am proud!!winker

And proud of you for keeping your sense of humor!

And proud of you for your unflinching courage!

And proud of you for your commitment to Bailey's comfort and well being!

And proud of you for continuing to do research! You are clearly her best advocate!

Stay on "those people" to get you Bailey's records...tell them time is of the essence! I think it is such a good idea to have others review everything!

And that link you put here about the symptons similar to Bailey's....WOW! YOU MAY HAVE SOME ANSWERS FINALLY!!! Be sure and show that to all the "second opinion" people you are going to.

I'm glad you are seeing her a lottle better by reducing some of her meds. Again, any little improvement is a victory! The fact that she felt comfy and relaxed enough to curl up to sleep and not.just topple over...that is a victory!

I think I've probably asked before...has she been on steroids yet (prednisone)?? Unless your regular vet has a compelling reason.not to, it would stimulate her alpetite AND if she has.that...what was it called..FCS (?) it appears it has made a huge difference in many cases!!!

I'm realy excited about the possibilities yoh are developing...the new people to look at her and her records.

Have you tried sharing your OREO with Bailey?? I bet she would eat some!

Thank you sooooo much for updating us. You are taking action and moving forward. It will be real interesting to see how different people interpret Bailey's records...and you'll finally get to see her xrays!

I know Bailey and Bella are.loving their pajama party every night! Please take care of yourself too, okay? We are all.right here.withnyou!

LOVE AND HUGS AND EXTRA ZZZZZZs for you tonight.

No words can describe this coin.  I was at the bank and I had a bunch of coins and this and a few coins from Canada were in the reject bin.  I didn't see the Angel coin until I got home... I told the bank teller there were some Canadian coins and she said they don't take them...  I put the coins on the counter when I got home and Mackenzie was looking at them and she goes MOM look at this one it's an ANGEL... I have never seen anything like it.  It's identical on the front and back and is hanging on Bailey's collar now.  I put it in my pocket and prayed with it and then my husband drilled a hole in it and put a gold ring on it to attach it to Bailey's collar.

Things are not better, she doesn't want to eat anything, we can't get in for a consultation until Tuesday, they need time to review the records and then they go from there... earliest acupuncture will be next Thursday...

I'm sick, I'm scared and I KNOW THIS ANGEL IS A SIGN WHETHER TO PROCEED OR NOT THE BIG GUY UPSTAIRS NEEDS TO HELP ME OUT HERE.  OK really a Angel coin in a coin machine bank in the reject bin.... REALLY!

I don't know what to say.

HUGS and MUCH LOVE,

Tracy and my Bailey Girl

The picture of the Angel isn't that good because I had it in my pocket when I ran to the store and I decided to take a picture of it and send it to my husband.  So it's on my seat... I'm going to get a better one.

Sally,

Bailey hasn't been on a steroid yet.  She is on Gabapentin 3x daily and Carprofen every 12... I'm sure I spelled that one wrong.  But she can't be on a steroid with the Gabapentin I believe is what someone told me...

I can't get her anywhere until next week... this is not fair.  I know people are busy but my Bailey needs help NOW!

Sorry just venting and crying and still shaking my head and looking up at the sky and asking WHY.

sad

You are doing all the right things by advocating for your beautiful Bailey!  Keep pushing.  How is your local emergency vet hospital? Might want to try that!  You are in my thoughts!

Tracy, I have been waiting to hear how Bailey is doing. I have been thinking of you all a lot. The coin is incredible and I Love the fact that you thought to put it on Bailey's collar. I think Ty was on Prednisone with Gabapentin, but I am not quite sure. Sometimes all the meds become a huge blur. He did however, take Mirtzapine to increase his appetite. It did help some and did not seem to make him loopy or anything. It is just so hard and you just feel so helpless, I know. You are doing a stellar job of researching and getting her help. Hang in there. Keep us posted on how she is doing. Love from, Lori and Ty

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

I know it's hard for you to update, but I do hope the words of support help sustain you during this agonizing "in limbo" time. And we all care so very, very much...we love that Bailey Girl...and you too!

That ANGEL COIN....WOW!!!! Cannot get over that! Talk about a message letting you know you are protected!!! You hit. The lottery with this Angel! And the fact that your hubby put it on her collar....what a lovely, lovely thing to do. It really does seem as though you have been sent your own personal Guardian Angel for Bailey..

Do you feel up to sending a picture of her.with her Guardian Angel o n her collar? I just still cannot get over how that happened.

PLEASE, when you can catch your breath, talk to your vet about adding Prednisone, or the other appetite stimulate mentioned, to the mix. The Pred. Has anti-inflammatory properties and also happens to increase appetite in a matter of days.

I wouod follow up everyday to make sure the place you are going to Tues, not only have the records in hand, but to see if there is a cancellation. I do understand that they need time to review though.

We are all here .....all sending you our world famous group hug through cyberspace...and lots and lots of love and admiration. You have noooooo idea how very strong you are...amazing!

Sally and Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

Just a short update and a few pictures of Bailey.  Sally had asked for a picture of the Angel coin on Bailey's collar.  It's pretty awesome and every time I think about it I get chill bumps.

Bailey did eat a little bit today but no kibble.  Grilled chicken on the pit and this morning she had a little peanut butter on treats... she has been drinking more today.

OK. Today has been a better day.  Bailey's still not getting up on her own but she whines when she wants a little help.  She's still not wagging her tail, it seems broken. sleepy We have figured out that if we don't try to grab her around her belly or back end and just lift from her buttocks just lightly she gets up a lot easier.  Whew.  Tuesday can't come fast enough!

Picture 1 ~ Bailey with her Guardian Angel; Picture 2 ~ Close up on the Angel attached to Bailey's collar; Picture 3 ~ the coins that were left behind and the Bank did not want; Picture 2 ~ Bailey and Big Sis Bella crashed.

We are back on the meds as prescribed and she seems to be perking up.  I have been stretching her left leg and massaging her hips and feet... big Sis is a little jealous she decided she wasn't going to eat this morning... she finally did but she was laying on Bailey's bed and I hand fed her... hmmm she's not stupid... she wants more attention.  We noticed and she's getting a lot more.

I will keep updating.  I keep playing with her tail and telling her just thump it for Mommy please.  I need a happy tail back really bad.

I hope all the tri-pawds on here are healing well as well as all our Angels above shining down on us know that they are a true blessing to all and know how they have supported us through their humans to find a way to make another tri-pawd comfortable.  God Bless You!

HUGS

GOSH! TH A T IS JUST EXQUISITE! I also have goosey bumps and chills! This is such Divinely guided gift meant specifically for your Bailey!

And today is a better day! That's a mighty good Guardian Angel who came down to watch over her!!!

I love that sweet Bella is demanding to be hand fed in bed also!! What a sweetheart!

Oh, the tail thing...all I can say is that with two senior dogs who owned me, each seemingly overnight just started having a droopy tail that basically just hung there! I honestly cannot remember what the vet said in each case, but it wasn't life threatening or anything like that. You can ask the vet Tuesday.

And thak you Tracy, for acknowledging our Angels who are still able to be supportive and helpful through us humans. That was very, kind and a lovely thing to say. Thank you.

Okay, now I don't know if it's just my tablet, but so far I'm onlay able to see one photo and that's of Bailey's Guardian Angel on her collar. I just love, love, love that story and how your hubby put it on her collar. Keep on helping our Bailey Miss Guardian Angel, okay? Thanks for coming to earth to help her!!

Sending love and, of course, a continual non-stop hug!

Sounds like things are getting better and better, it's gotta be the power of the angel coin! Where is that coin from?

As for the pics, I only see that one too. But what a photo it is!

Here's to you both and hoping today is even better.

Jerry, the coin has the Angel on both sides... that's all.  It's a real gold coin.  I was cashing in change at the Bank and I noticed that there happened to be some rejects but Canadian coins.  I asked the teller about them and she said the bank would not take them.

Bailey's really struggling with the eating... we have tried Merrick Cowboy Cookout, Merrick Grandma's Homestyle Stew (or something like that.)  Bailey has to be reminded to drink and I have to just remind her we need to go potty.  I know her tail bothers her she keeps looking back.  But she has feeling in it I did the ole bite test!  big-grin
