I wanted to share the link to this article regarding Hermangiosarcoma and the National Canine Cancer Foundation. Even though my Leland didn't deal with cancer I found this article to bring hope in the ongoing battle against canine cancers. Here's just a snippet from the article along with the link....
National Canine Cancer Foundation to fund a new innovative Hemangiosarcoma (HSA) Research Project
I personally love the thought of taking a cancer that was killing a dog and turning it into a personalized vaccine to kill the cancer!

May you finally be healthy and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again my sweet boy!
Thank you Sahana, this is very exciting news!

Thank you!!!! This was Shelby's cancer (and my friend's dog lost his battle a couple weeks ago). I know Bonnie will also enjoy reading this!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Thank you Sahana for posting this........however, this is a website I am not completely sure about......the website is never updated, and I am still trying to determine what their mission is. I have been checking in with this website for many years and there is never any current solid or valuable information on it. Even reading this article on hemangiosarcoma, it makes no sense whatsoever, and there is no mention of this cancer within the article or what the possible study is.
I am not trying to be a Debbie-downer, but for many reasons, this website just has not proven much in the way of actual success in fund raising, or successful completion of canine cancer studies. Especially anything current within the last 3 years. Please forgive my negativity, because there is NO ONE out there that wants successful studies to conquer this awful canine cancer of hemangiosarcoma more than myself, believe me.
Much {{{hugs}}}
