Please meet Fallon:

Fallon is currently in foster care and is a very special girl.  She arrived from Iran on December 10, 2011, after spending years at the VAFA Animal Shelter with 350+ dogs.  Fallon has a handicap, but she doesnt realize it – she has 3 legs (missing part of her rear left leg).  As she was found with part of her leg missing along with 5 puppies and brought to the shelter, no one knows how she lost the leg. Fallon is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix about 6 years old, spayed, up to date on shots, housebroken (not one accident), crate trained, gets along with dogs and has learned to love the cats. While she has not been exposed to children yet, she LOVES everyone she meets.  Fallon barks when necessary. She can go up and down steps.  Fallon would be best suited in a home with carpeting as she has difficulty on smooth surfaces.  Fallon does not have food aggression, but is a bit protective over a rawhide or bone.  Fallon will need a strong pack leader as she will test you and you have to be consistent with her.  She is very, very smart and she is funny – she will make you laugh daily.
