Thank you Leslie…I feel so bad for the poor old man. Do you still have the contact info for the woman who's got all of his info and such?

I too thought he'd been placed, she hadn't mentioned him in quite some time. But she bumped his topic with this depressing news yesterday.

Ok, here's the scoop.  The lady from the boxer rescue, Triva, emailed me last night.  She said she owes me one, so she's going to try to get Mister.  She emailed them through petfinder last night to see if they will let her have him.  Anybody reading this have any idea why they wouldn't let the rescue have him?  If they will let Kentuckiana Boxer Rescue have him, it's completely up to me to get him here to Southern Indiana.  Is there anyone between here and there that may be able to help in part of the transportation?  According to mapquest, it's going to be close to 8 hrs one way for me.  Is it possible to set up a smaller scale transport like Miles'?  I should know sometime this weekend if he can come here.  I'll let you all know when I hear something.  If anyone can help transport him, please let me know.

Thank you,

Leslie

Ooh, sorry Munko, I got so excited I forgot to respond to you.  I do have Tina's contact still.  If the time comes and I need to work out the pick up with her, I can email her.  Is he still at the vets office?  Or has he just been in a kennel at the shelter?  If he comes to Kentuckiana Boxer Rescue he'll be in a foster home, not a shelter.  Hopefully we can make this happen.

She tried a boxer rescue (I'm not sure which one) and they wouldn't take him due to his issues (which they strongly think are linked to being kenneled for so long) he can't go into a shelter so he definitely needs a foster home. It's worth a try to have your rescue contact her…the worst they can do is say no! He is still at the vet clinic as far as I can tell.

Anything is possibe! We've edited the topic title in an effort to help coordinate transport. Good Luck!

Mister has now found a home!!

A friend of a client of the vets office recently lost their boxer and had been searching for another…no cats, no kids, no other dogs and a great big fenced in yard for Mister to play in.  This came entirely out of the blue apparently as yesterday at 3 PM Mister had nooo interest, then got adopted last night.

Thanks everyone for trying to help Mister – hopefully he turns into the great dog they expect him too and he gets to stay in his new forever home!
