[Image Can Not Be Found] Chula is BEAUTIFUL 1-2 year old boxer/pit bull mix. She is a petite girl only weighing 36lbs (fully grown). Chula has had a hard knock life. She came into PSPCA (ACCT) located in Philadelphia, PA with a wounded leg and road burn. Vets did X-rays on her injured leg and found it was completely shattered. CHULA is now a TRIPOD! She is missing her hind right leg. This does not stop this awesome girl at all!
CHULA has been in foster care with me for 3 weeks. She now has a clean bill of health and is ready to find her FOREVER HOME! CHULA is sweet, very intelligent (treat motivated), and a HUGE cuddle bug. She loves to play with toys especially her stuffed monkey. she can even keep herself entertained with a bone or toy. CHULA has never chewed or taken anything that is not hers.
[Image Can Not Be Found]Chula is all about a good time but knows how to mellow out and relax. She has no resource guarding issues/ food aggression. She is crate trained and 99% housetrained. When I tell her to “go to bed” when I leave she goes right into her crate. CHULA knows sit, stay, down, come, leave it, and drop it.
She knows to sit for her food/ treats without a verbal or hand command. She knows to also sit before we go outside. CHULA walks well on a leash and knows heal. If you say it a few times while on her walk she stays next to you. She can still pull at times but a quick correction is another method to help slow her down.
She is dog friendly, I do not know how she is with cats since she does not live with them but a cat test can be done. She is great with kids; she spent almost a week with twin 3 yr olds and did wonderful!
[Image Can Not Be Found]She is already spayed which means she can be adopted today. She is an all around fantastic dog who was given a second chance at life, can you give her a FOREVER home!?

Oh why do you do this to me?! My favorite mixed breed AND a tripawd?? I hope this little beauty finds a forever home soon! If we weren't so far away and at our limit of animals, I'd snatch her up in a heartbeat!

OfflineI was interested when this was first posted, but at the time we were at our 2-dog maximum. Then, a few days later, we lost Zack.
Even though we still miss Zackie terribly, we also felt strongly that it was time to add to our pack. So, we met this little girl today and adopted her!
She is about 8 months old and was found back in November with a terrible sore/infection on her right back leg and they had to amputate. Since then she has had a few infections, but other than a burn on her back that is healing (the vet left a heat compress on for too long!), she is healthy and full of energy! And, she gets around amazingly well on three legs – she just plows full speed through almost a foot of snow like it is nothing.
Despite the tough road she's had, she is such a sweetie – loves to give kisses and is cuddled up with us on the couch right now. Funny story already – we have a basket of dog toys that neither Zack or Izzy has been interested in for years. Zula (we changed her name slightly) found it almost immediately, and started playing with a hard rubber kitty cat. In an attempt to get to the squeaker, she bit one of the cats legs off – so now the cat is a tripawd, too!
Here she is in her new forever home!

OfflineOh my goodness, how exciting! Thank you so much for adopting Zula and giving her the forever home she deserves. I'll bet it's fun having a puppy in the house again, what does Izzy think?
She certainly looks like a sweetheart and I would love to see more pictures of her.

OfflineThanks!
Zula seems to be adjusting well so far. Izzy is not interested in playing, which confuses Zula to no end, but Izzy let's her know who's alpha, so there have been no problems. They were even cuddling butt-to-butt in the bed this morning.
The cat is a different story. Zula is not cat-aggressive (we had that tested before adopting), but the cat runs away and won't let Zula sniff, so Zula wants to chase her & bark that much more. We went through similar issues when we first adopted Izzy, so are pretty confident they will both adapt with time.
We are being kept busy with the energy of a puppy, but have laughed alot over the past two days. I'm sure the laughs will continue. We'll share more pics as we capture them – she is really fast, though! :-)
