I am constantly amazed at how rescue folks are able to do what they do, because when I see a dog like this it just rips my heart out. Thus, we all do what we can to help….

Please, if anyone knows how we can help this sweet girl, and at the very least get her into foster care, let us know.

She is on borrowed time. Miami Dade County Animal Services is a kill shelter and they don't keep special dogs like her around very long. Her death row date is 10/2, she needs help NOW.

ID#A1294806

My name is RAPTER.

I am a female, brown and black German Shepherd Dog.

The shelter staff think I am about 1 year old.

I have been at the shelter since Sep 26, 2010.

This dog was abandoned by a horrible human. Her issues are:

  • Alopecia, most likely flea allergic
    related.
  • Distended abdomen
  • Front right limb congenital deformity
(agenesis / hypogenesia of the affected limb). Will remove affected
limb during spay surgery if adopted or rescued.

Learn more about adoptin here by visiting the Miami-Dade County Animal Services website.

Oh dear -

Please someone rescue her.  I just can't, can't, can't get another dog!  My heart longs for a shephard mix. Comet took a year to accept Rocket.

He read it before I did on Facebook from you and called without telling me.  (We have the same feelings about GSD's)

Here's my hubby's email to me after he called me telling me had called about her.

I called again just to make sure she was being rescued. So with two phone calls at least I know she is in the works to be rescued.  She is still there.

Which I believe means she will be up for adoption until 10/2/10 and if not adopted the rescue group will come to get her.

He confirmed she will not be put to sleep.

Wowwwww, your hubby is a sweetie. I showed her pic to Admin (with a nudge nudge wink wink saying "looooook, she needs a home!) and he said "uh huh" and walked away!

Yeay to hubbies who call shelters to make sure Tripawds are being rescued!!!!
