I saw a video on Facebook today about a little Maltese mix that was rescued in Watts. He's up for adoption in Beverly Hills at the moment. Here's his Petfinder page - and from there you can link to watch the video of how they rescued him (it involves a cheeseburger).

The site says he is "young" and they do not know why he is missing his back leg. Here's their description:

"Watson came to us with one of his back legs amputated, but that doesn't stop this one year old from living a normal, fun and active life. He's incredibly sweet and playful and adores spending time snuggling on a warm lap. He seems to get along well with other dogs, but is a little shy right now. Considering all he's been through, it's not surprising, but he's coming more and more out of his shell every day. Watson is looking for a home preferably with another active dog to play with and with an adopter who has the time, energy and love to provide him with an exceptional life."

Contact info is on the Petfinder link.

How cute is he???

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Awww, thank you for sharing his story here! This really helps to get the word out. I hope he finds that special family real soon, he sure deserves it.
