Who can resist this face? He's in Delaware, Ohio and just waiting for you to come get him!

Diesel Dan's Story... Diesel Dan is a friendly guy looking for a home where he can run and play, then snuggle up on the couch. He came to us with an old injury to a back leg that seems to just be hindering him - the leg will be removed in the beginning of June & we hope it will improve his mobility.

His new family will need to be prepared to help him through that, although he can still jump and run like any other dog!

Dan loves other dogs and any people he meets - just be ready.. he can open some kennels and doors at the shelter faster than a human could!

Hi, everyone - I wanted to add to this info about Diesel Dan.  Someone reached out to the American Lurcher Rescue Project about his as we rescue retired field trial racing greyhound mixes and many of them come from or are found in Ohio.  We know this HS and it is a well run shelter - we are not sure Diesel Dan is a Grey mix and we are at capacity at this moment, but since he is a new Tripawd, I hoped exposure here might bring some interest his way.

The woman who brought him to our attention has seen him in person and says he really is a sweet dog.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

OMD! He's beautiful! If my circumstances were different, I'd apply right now

paula and nitro

p.s. Don't tell nitro I wrote this

Nitro 11 1/2  yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms.  Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"

Aw, thanks, Sally. It is wonderful he has a home.  I posted about Tripawds on the FB thread and said his new family might want to hop over to the Forums if they haven't had a Tripawd dog before.
