Left a message on their voice mail...referencing my conversation with Terri last night....(pretty sure it was "Terri's voicemail"...asking if I could overnight a handwritten response to each question due to inability for tablet users to submit on lin....PLUS...my vet would like to include a cover letter also. Left phone number and email address to let me know if it was okay to lroceed that way. As of right now, I've not heard back.

Really want to try and do it this way to ENSURE the application won't get lost in the shuffle. Also asked if it would work better for her if I could respond to the questions in an email to her....again, stressing how anxious I am to do everything possible to expedite the process and give Gunther h is forever home.

Hopefully, Il l hear from them by tomorrow. I thinking once they tell me which way they prefer I submit the application, I'll let you guys know and then the reference letters...email I guess...can start pouring in!!!

Yes Penny, Merry Myrtle and I DO feel the love here.....just as Happy Hannah and I did! And it amazes me so....I jave to keep pinching myself to make sure Imw not dreaming!!! And the love I feel for EACHNofnyou....yep....off the charts!!! .....OFF THE CHARTS!!!!! The Tripawd Universe is, indeed, a Universe of Love! And I am soooooo privileged to be a part!!!!!!

Sally can you email one of us the answers to the questions and we can email the proper format back to you and/or them? Or can your vet attach your email along with his cover letter and email them directly? In case they don't want a handwritten copy? I hope you hear back soon! I'm really really REALLY hoping/praying/etc! Erica had to type my answers up for me when I adopted Bobby ;) i only had a tablet too back then. I've been trying to be on here as much as i can in case you need anything. .. Been stuck at the hospital because my dad is sick and wifi is poor there. . But whatever i can do or any of us can do to get that in it's proper format so we can get the ball rolling ASAP for you just let us know! I'm sure they will get the hint if we all start emailing references one by one to them, no? Lol it would that be annoying? ;) whatever can help!

So I went on their website, and it seems like an online questionnaire. . Which we could probably cut and paste your answers into if need be just to get the application in, as well as email them separately with the complete application and cover letter. Just a thought. Plus, if you need my phone # or any of ours for references I'll give it to you no problems!

Ok Sally they got a long email from me this morning. I hope you don't mind but I gave them your number in the email and told them that sometimes your internet signal isn't very good. I told them I'd be happy to do a home visit for them if they needed someone (I have no shame, anything to smooch those Merry Myrtle wrinkles hehe).

I say we bombard them with emails and phone calls this weekend showing our support for Sally!

Yes! My thoughts exactly!! Tripawds Nation should unite to get Gunther to the home where he belongs!

Sally, I too emailed them. In case you needed it to print out to send everything complete my email reference was as follows:

To Whom It May Concern,

I wanted to personally email you a reference for Sally Holladay in regards to her application for adoption of Gunther. First, I would like to explain my relationship with Ms. Holladay and why I personally feel so compelled to email you separately, as I know she is concerned about getting her application in appropriately.

I am a member of tripawds.com. As with most of our members, many of us came across the website because we were faced with amputation of our very beloved animals. Like Sally, most of us would do everything and anything to help give our animals the most comfortable and full life possible. I personally am an extra large breed dog owner, and my St. Bernard was faced with amputation, like Sally's dog, Hannah, due to cancer. Being an extra large breed dog owner, amputation was a large concern of my personal vet due to his size. I was looking for information, specifically related to large breeds and amputation, and this is how I met Sally. She too had a large breed dog that had been successfully amputated, and was living happily, comfortably, in the most loving home possible. Sally, as she does with everyone on our site, reached out to me, to tell me her story, including Hannah's recovery.

Our site is quite possibly one of the most supportive, informative places I found when I was faced with something so challenging to a dog I loved more than anything. The support on our site, is truly, led by Sally. She goes out of her way to help all of us with anything she can. She is our cheerleader, our support, our mentor, our shoulder to cry on, our rational mind as many of our challenges related to our dogs, their conditions, is many times emotionally overwhelming.

I can not express how much Sally means to our community, which is why I know many of us are reaching out to you to express how much she not only means to us, but how much her animals mean to her. She would have, and did, do everything for her dog, Hannah, who was a tripawd, as she does the same for her dog now, Myrtle. She regularly keeps our spirits up with photos, and videos of Hannah when she was still alive, and now with her mastiff, Myrtle. I encourage you to visit our site to see the support she oozes in each post she responds to, and to see the level of care she has given, and continues to give her animals.

I personally live in the Chicagoland area, and if there were anything at all you would need from me, I would happily go out of my way to provide it.

With Much Thanks,

Sally,
Wow, I am late to all this excitement, and just catching up.....I am so happy things seem to be going great for you to be able to bring this sweet guy home and be his forever mom. There is no one that deserves him more than you.

And I hoped it helps, I also sent an e-mail on your behalf to this rescue so I am sure they have been absolutely bombarded by, "We love Sally and you must let her adopt Gunther" e-mails.......laughingsmileybig-grin

Much Love,
Bonnie & Angel Polly
