Bella is a neo with a wonderful disposition.  She's approximately 6 years old, and had her left, front leg and scapula amputated about 2-2.5 years ago.  She's currently learning how to move again since she spent the last couple years laying on the kitchen floor of her former owner.  Her entire story and history are available on her web site: http://www.bell…..lisimo.com

Other than that, and to meet the guidelines of posting here, she's currently on a diet to lose fat and build muscle: Wellness Core (dang expensive stuff, but it shure does work). She is being fostered at a private home in Maryland, unaffiliated with a Rescue group. Her amputation was due to a farm accident. Something to do with a tractor or brush-cutter attachment.

Thanks for sharing Bella's story here! She sounds like a beautiful girl, and we know she'll find a home real soon.

Bella's journal is following her life on three legs. The last few posts – most recently today – from her people seem to indicate she is still available, with certain legal hurdles to cross before adoption.

Thanks for checking up on us!  We've had some family issues to deal with but Bella is doing great.  She's slim and trim now, and done with her Rehab.  She is still up for adoption and all ready to move on to her forever home.  The 'legal hurdles' that admin mentioned are behind us.  We've recently updated some parts of the site, specifically the photo gallery.  I'm going to try to get FosterMom to make some more blog posts about daily life.

We just received this good news about Bella …

I wanted to let you know that Bella has been adopted!  She has done beautifully with her rehab through the past seven months. She lost the weight and became more active and strong. In January I began the search for a new forever home. I qiuckly became concerned that we wouldn't find one. We had lots of people showing interest but not following through… "rubber-neckers." But finally the right people came along!

Please visit her site for all kinds of great photos and journal updates. But you can also check out her Dogster page, which is where we found her new mom and dad.

I wanted to thank you for your kindness and support. It really helped me a lot. Bella was my first special-needs foster and I wanted to do all the right things for her, and you gave us some wonderful guidance. And the way you reached out to us was so kind! We appreciated it very much.
