Yup, this is an issue we just recently discovered with Chrome. No ETA for a fix. And no problems with Firefox and Safari.

no worries ... I can just use another browser for Tripawds to get my daily "banner fix"... I am just surprised it took me this long to notice but I can see them clearly in IE and Firefox so all good! You rock!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Sally,

Make sure you are logged in.  It does that if you aren't logged in to make comments. 🙂  I always check to make sure I see "howdy, Michelle" in the upper right corner then I know I am logged in.

Correct. Logged in Tripawds users will not need to enter their info to comment on any blogs. Guests do.

Recent security enhancements may be logging users out periodically, which may cause some to think they are logged in. You can always tell if you are logged in of the black admin bar appears at the very top of every Tripawds blog.

We'll be looking into the log-out issue, as soon as we can identify some sort of pattern.

I was wondering what happened to the banners (Chrome user here too).

Sally (and anyone else having Sally's issue), Firefox likes to log you out of everything and probably wants to clear your passwords when you close the browser too. Try this:

In Firefox:

  1. Click the menu button [Image Can Not Be Found] and choose Preferences (top right of screen)
  2. Select the Privacy panel.
  3. Under History, if Firefox will: is set to Use custom settings for history and Clear history when Firefox closes is selected, click on the Settings button.
  4. Make sure that Saved Passwords is not selected.
  5. Make sure "accept cookies from site" is checked.
  6. Make sure "Remember my browsing and download history" is checked.
  7. Then just close it out.

Give it shot. Tripawds will log you out every now and again, but you "should" have less of any issue now.

Milo refuses to go out in the rain without an escort, be it us or Tanner (and Tanner is no fool). I can't tell you how many times I've gotten drenched from being outside for 2 mins with him. Apparently he thinks he is King and we are all his jesters!

That is funny! Maybe Milo can come here and escort Lucy out in the rain. I actually read something really interesting the other day. The article said that it is not that dogs mind getting wet, the rain amplifies sounds and makes it overwhelming to them. Lucy had big ears and incredible hearing. I think I remember Milo having Jasper ears. Here I was thinking Lucy just didn't want her hairdo ruined. I too have been drenched a few times in the last week. This did give me a bit more patience to wait with her. Lori, Ty & Gang

Lucy HAS big ears! She is still here! I reread my post and realized it sounded a bit like she was not. She can be a bit of a PITA but I love her anyway!

OMG ... that explains it about Jasper and the rain - it's an assault on her ears. She's already so sensitive to "air" blowing through them no wonder the sound of rain sends her hiding. Now I have no clue what Shelby's excuse was since her ears were able to go flat or closed ... Jasper's ears have ONE position - up! Maybe 2, tall and TALLER! LOL

And LOL at Lucy not wanting her hairdo ruined ...

Stay dry my east coast friends!

I don't know about the rain, since we haven't had any in so long, but Ollie will not go out the dog door by himself after dark. During the day, he is in and out all the time. Comes night, he will sit in front of one of us and whine to be taken outside to potty.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Wow, talk about a hijacked topic!!!!!

When Obie first came home with me he wouldn't go outside at all by himself.  He learned the dog door in about 5 min, but he would not go outside unless someone went with him.  It took months but he now will go out anytime by himself.

As far as rain- he doesn't like it but I think in his case it's his feet. He HATES to get his feet wet, he doesn't care if his back gets wet.

Totally a hijacked thread haha, but I'm bringing it back! I'm using Chrome on my Macbook and no banners and no pictures in any of the threads. So...I switched over to FireFox and have the same issue Sally had. My settings look ok but I'm getting logged out of Tripawds before I finish writing some of my posts. I'm testing this right now to see if it'll actually go through with the last setting I changed (fingers crossed).
