In our continuing efforts to make useful canine cancer and amputation recovery information easy to find here in the Tripawd Discussion forums, we have enabled Tags on all forums. All topics in these forums can now have tags associated with them. Tags are keywords related to the subject to be discussed that members can assign whenever adding a new topic.

Note the Topic Tags field when adding a new topic and take a moment to include a few relevant words about your topic. Or, use one of the three sources for Suggested Tags. Clicking Local Tags will suggest related tags from all those other Tripawds members have already used. Try some of these first as they will reurn the most results when others search for related topics. Reviewing local tags will also ensure you don't duplicate a tag with the same meaning or a different spelling.

Note: The Topic Tags field is only available when posting a new topic, not when posting replies.

Please try to keep individual tags to a single word or short phrase, and make sure they relate to your topic. Separate multiple tags by commas, and while there is no limit, a short list of specific tags is much better than too many slightly realtive tags. Like life on three legs… its all about quality, not quantity!

Why add tags? Click the Related button and find out. This will pop up a window listing all topics with the same tags as the one you're reading. There is also now the option to search Tags Only when using the search function for specific keywords.

Finally, forum moderators now have the ability to add or edit topic tags. Considering there are about 1,700 topics here without tags now, moderators who feel up to it can be a big help to everyone by adding relative tags to existing topics without them. Tags can be added/edited from Forum view – where Topic titles are listed – by clicking the small wrench visible to Moderators:
