QuoteI just spent 30 minutes typing a post (update on the Queen) and it appears to have been wiped out. It was under the "Shout Outs" category. As I was editing my final post and clicked post, it just disappeared and I can't seem to retrieve it. I was logged in at the time. Is there any way to figure out what happened?

I am so frustrated because I just put a tremendous amount of effort into a big long post, and it's gone. It never occurred to me to cut and paste it before posting. This is the 3rd time it's happened to me in the past few weeks, and often when I post now on the blogs I am told that my post is waiting for moderation. What's up?

A number of things…
- We haven't had reports like this a while, so thank you for bringing it to our attention.
- Tripawds has apparently once again become victims of our own success and we are currently investigating options for upgrading our server resources yet again to improve performance and minimize the chance for concurrent database entries dropping.
- Firefox users have historically experienced better success using this site.
- Intermittent network latency beyond our control can also be a cause for posts not publishing.
- We need to clarify between a post being erased or disappearing and it never publishing in the first place. We'll assume the latter since that is what has happened in the past, but if a post was indeed published and then disappeared during the editing process we are dealing with a completely different issue.
- Posting comments on blogs is a totally different matter altogether. Comment moderation is dependent upon each individual blogger's discussion settings, and the default is for all first posts by any given member to require moderation.
In short, we apologize but your missing post is gone and cannot be retrieved. If it was indeed published prior to being edited (using the Edit button) and then it vanished, please advise. Otherwise please stay tuned for information about our pending upgrade.
