What am I looking for?

Not sure, but we hope you find it soon!

it sounds like the changes we made are functioning as expected. We had also discovered that using the rich tet (TinyMCE) editor on mobile devices was indeed slow. So we've added a filter to force load the plaintext editor on mobile devices – the way it always used to be. So no, the editing tools are not missing, they just do not appear with the plaintext editor.

In short, if you use a computer and mobile device to access these forums, you can leave your default editor as TinyMCE and you will automatically be provided the plaintext editor when on your mobile device.

The reason behind all this madness is that with their recent release WordPress insisted the TinyMCE editor was finally working well on mobile devices. Well, apparently not in all environments. So we gave it a try and are now back to serving up the plaintext editor for mobile use.

Another thing I noticed on my iPad since the last upgrade, or whatever it was: the pulll down menu at the very top of the page now works, the one with Tripawds on the left side. It didn't work correctly before- I would click on Tripawds and the menu would drop down, but then immediately roll back up and take me to the home page.
So something is better...
