What happened to the button on the forum page to log in?  I have been trying to log in for the last few hours, and there is no button to be found.  I ended up trying to log on to the chat and found a tiny link to finally do so. But what happened to the nice button that used to be right there on the Forum page?

I looks like the format of some things on the site has changed, so perhaps there was some sort of upgrade and the Login button was moved?

Cherry had the exact same experience including going to the chat where we could log on then comming back to the forum page.  It is hard enough for me to come back to the site through all the tears and total emptyness that fills my soul.  However, if we miss any of the ampuversaries, I would not forgive myself.  Soooooo – HELP!

Spirit Cherry's Dad

PS: Just recieved a relatively long PM that when I read appears to be cut off mid-sentence. Hope that you can look into this as well. The PM's are extremely important to me personally.

Same here but I'm still logged.  I can't read or open old PM's.  I have an ugly message telling me to delete messages and I have but I can't open the ones I believe are important.

P.S.  I think I'm an "admin" also!  I have the ability to change the color scheme of the boards!   I was thinking like a purple hue for spring.laughing

Login and registration buttons should be back now. We are doing our best to resolve many remaining issues from yesterday's upgrade debacle. Please keep feedback coming. Looking into PM system now.

@cometdog: please explain or send a screenshot of what you believe to be admin controls.

Thank you all for your patience.

Sorry to give you a fright!

IGNORE that 'admin' comment!   It was the ADMIN dashboard color scheme ( I'm pretty sure since I didn't try it).

So you mean your Tripawds Profile option that jest lets you select the Dashboard color scheme of either Grey or Blue, right? <crosses fingers>

Still working on the PM problem…

Seriously, don't worry about it!  You've gotten enough to worry about right now.  Whatever it is, I'm not changing anything.  Plus, keep in mind, these could be moderator features that I wasn't aware of since the site upgrade came before I got familiar with mod features.

BUT since you asked…

Very interesting, thank you. Are these the only admin functions you see? Or do have access to all the SPF Administration tabs now? For instance, Manage Forums, Options, Components, Permissions, User Groups, Profiles, Toolbox Configuration, Ad Nauseum, Ad Infinitum? You should only be seeing the "Admins" tab, and I believe any color changes you make there only apply to your Admin colors.

Login button is back!  Yay!

The only other thing I am noticing is that I am prevented from subscribing to or watching this topic. So I had no idea until I checked just now that you were answering any of our questions. Not sure if this is appearing elsewhere or just in Tech Support, since I am avoiding other posting until it's all resolved.

Nope.

I do NOT have these options

Do you not see the Topic RSS, Subscribe and Watch buttons at the bottom? Just checked that the permissions are correct for Members, and confirmed they are there for standard members. Anyone else missing these buttons?

Admin,

I am still having trouble subscribing to my posts.  I made a recent post about Nova, got a few follow up messages, then they stopped. I went on this morning and there were 13 comments. So most of them I did not receive notification for.  I checked the x at the bottome next to "Subscribe to this Topic" and it changed to a green checkmark, but still didn't receive the follow up posts.

So you are seeing the buttons? Is there any pattern to the replies you are receiving notification for? Do they stop at a certain time, or are random ones missing?

And back to my original question … you are now describing the checkoxes available for subscribing when replying to a topic. Have you tried subscribing via both methods, or are you not seeing the subscribe button at the bottom of existing topics as you originally mentioned? Also, do all the topics you have subscribed to appear in your subscribed topics accessible via the Subscribed button at top?

Sorry for the hassles, we're working very hard to address many glitches since the upgrade.

Finally…

NOTE TO ALL: Please clear your browser cache if you encounter any unexpected difficulties. Check these links to detailed instructions for how to clear the cache of most web browsers. After clearing your cache, please reply in this topic with details about the problem, any error message if applicable, and whether or not clearing your cache helped.

Clearing your browser cache may be necessary and should be the first step in helping us resolve remaining issues. Thank you.

Please tell me it's not just me…does anyone else need a magnifying glass to read the signature line text?

UPDATE: We are still having issues with Forum Profile updates and selecting Private Messaging recipients.

1. Forum Profile Updates: When updating your Forum Profile, you may be redirected to a blank white page with the update message. Your profile has been updated, but you will need to manually enter the URL (tripawds.com/forums) for the forums to get back.

2. Private Messaging: We have temporarily disabled composition of new PM messages from the Inbox. PMs can still be sent successfully to members by clicking the Send PM button above posts they have authored. For now, to send a PM, find a post by the member you wish to message and click the Send PM button.

Please know that we are working frantically to resolve these issues and are still seeking feedback regarding any other unexpected anomalies. Scripts within the theme we use for Jerry's main blog here may be the cause for most of these troubles, and things may be looking quite different here soo. Stay tuned … Thank you for your patience.
