Hi Jim and Rene,

I am sure you knew that Sammy and I would end up here eventually.  I was looking for Oslo's blog, I knew I had seen it before but can't find it now.  At a certain point do they just go away?  There were great video's I wanted to see again.

Speaking of that, I find some great stories on your "random dog blog" section but then can't find out what ever happened to the dog because the search button doesn't come up with anything.  (Does that make sense?)  I look for posts by the people or it doesn't even pull them up under member names.

Please start slowly, use whatever repeater button or visual display you might have handy, and tell me everything I am doing wrong.... break for lunch when necessary.. please no threats of physical violence!

Thanks,

Elizabeth and Sammy

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us.  Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.

All Tripawds Blogs posts will always be availabe for readers. Sorry you're having trouble searching them. The current Blogs directory lists only the last 100 active blogs. The only other current listing oprion breaks the forums, and we can't have that.

Until we can implement a better directory, try these tips to find old blogs:

  • Guess - Type a member's username as the subdomain for the blog into your browser, like wyattraydawg.tripawds.com
  • Check their profile - Ideally, members with blogs will update their Forum user profile with a link to their blog. Click the small Profile icon above any member's post to find out.
  • Send a PM - Send a Private Message to members via your inbox to ask for a link, if they have a blog.
  • Ask us - We can find forward links for any blogs if we know the member's username.

I find some great stories on your "random dog blog" section but then
can't find out what ever happened to the dog because the search button
doesn't come up with anything.  (Does that make sense?)

Not really, but let's see ... with no random blog "section" we assume you're following the Random Blog link at the top of every page. Search buttons on blogs will only find content from posts on that blog, not forum posts. Be sure to use the Members button to find all forum posts by certain members. The search button is for finding content of forum posts only, not blog posts.

If a member's username is not found when using the Members search function, they have likely changed their display name. So again, check their profile, or send a PM. And never hesitate to ask.

Hope this helps. Sorry for the lack of visual aides.
