Hi,
I just started a blog yesterday (I am totally new at this!) and it ended up being on a tab instead of the home page. The blog is "Solo's Story" but when you click the avatar, the default is the home page which is blank. To get to the blog you need to click on the tab "Solo's story surgery to 5 days post op" then you can see what I have posted. I would like that information to be on the home page so when you click on the avatar that is what you see initially. I can't seem to figure out how to change that. Please help!

p.s. I hope this makes sense!
Many thanks

That's what we're here for! Laugh And why we have informative WordPress help videos, especially ones describing posts and pages which you may find helpful.

You apparently created a page, or edited the default About page, to explain Solo's story so far. That's great. If you want that to be the front page people always see when your visiting your blog, you need to do this: Visit your blog dashboard and click Settings -> Reading. There you will have the option to have the front page to display your latests posts, or a static page. Select Static page and choose the page with Solo'd story. You would then need to crete a new page for displaying all your blog posts, and select that for your Posts page.

Still with me? Winker

It also appears that you deleted your first "Hello World" default blog post. That's why your home page displays Not Found, because no posts have been found.

Most blogs include all the latest posts on the main page. That way, when people visit your blog they see what you have been writing lately. An about page (like the "tab" you crerated) is then often available for readers to click and find out, well about you and your pup!

So ... if you intended for the page you created to actually be your first post, and not a page, here is what you need to do: Visit your blog dashboard and click Pages -> Edit then select the page you created. Select and copy all of its content. Then click Posts -> Add New and paste everything into the post. Give it a title and click Publish. Then it will appear on your home page, along with all your future posts, in reverse chronological order (with the most recent first). Then ... you can choose to edit or delete the "about" page you created.

As a new Tripawds blogger, you may also want to activate the TypePad Anti-Spam plugin. This should reduce the number of spam comments you receive. I hope this helps!

Thanks! I was able to fix up my blog and home page with your help- you gave great instructions. I am not sure how to activate the "TypePad Anti-Spam plug in" as you suggested. Any hope you can guide me through that too?
I really do appreciate it!

Dashboard -> Plugins -> Installed -> Select available anti-spam plugins and click "Activate" -> Note plugins available to Supporters. 😉
