Sooooo.....trying to get on all day!. And like a loyal little soldier, I c all VERIZON because I'm sure they've screwed usnup again!!!
I tell the customer rep that this is an ongoing problem and it has ro be handled at a higher level than what she was offering me!!! Heck no Admin Guy....I wasn't going to be vullied into ",just a lst or 2nd level techie"....I KNEW this required top otch enginerr type people!! And all anyone at Verizon had to do was look into the Tripawds files and they woukd see stuff that woukd tell them it was NOT our website!!!! Yeah....I even threw out words like "packets" and IPO and router and crap like that!
Needless ro say, I didn't get very far!. I k ew I was over my head vut I just wanted ro go on record that VERIZON WAS SCREWING UP AGAIN!!!!
I email BFF Michelle to see if she's g etting on site....I email BFF Rene to see if something is wrong or is it me. Nuttin'...nada'....now I'm thinking my tavlet is crashing. I send an email to myself to see if gmail is working...it is!
And then....AND THEN.....sweet Michelle calls me to tell me "Yes the site is down and Jim let everybody know in facebook". E V E R Y B. O D Y?????? F A C E B O O G E R??????

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Sally, I knew I would be in for a treat reading this, I laughed so hard I almost had tears running down my face!
I thought maybe the website had crashed or something but just waited till now to try to access it again. Glad everything is up and working, and glad Alison can help you out with things if needed. I would be more than happy to help you out as well, but to be honest, I am not on the computer much to check emails and such, or play with facebooger lately, the outdoors is calling all day everyday with the nice weather now.....got 2 pups that need extra lovin' and playin' ......you know what I mean for sure!!

We sure needed that today! And you sure ARE somepawdy, sorry but FB was the only way to let as many people as possible know (definitely not everypawdy though!).
Nope, this time it wasn't Verizon but some hard drive meltdown with our server back at command central. Great timing eh? It had nothing to do with Verizon, for once. Well Admin spent all day with the situation and had a few more meltdowns himself, along with our Uber Geek server managers who I'm sure will send us a nice bill for the 10 hours they spent on the issue. But at last, they got the site up and ended the longest down-time we've ever had with Tripawds.
Since our server also handles all Tripawds email addresses like mine, that's why you didn't back from me. When I see you I'm going to show you how to text so you can text me next time you can't reach me OK? Hopefully no time soon.
Don't ask me what the end result is, it's over my head (might have had something to do with the 101 character post titles!;), but we are both thrilled that everything is back up and running. I'm sure once Admin catches up from everything he's post an update.

Admin Guy explained in another post what would hzppen if someone exceeded the dreaded 100 character limit:
"Attempts to enter longer titles will automatically reformat your hard drive." winker. He said that...with the winker icon added!
REFORMAT YOUR HARD DRIVE!!! Admin Guy and Faceboogers have a hard drive...not tavlet people!!!! Need not look very far Ms. Rene to see who the real culprits are!
Shhhh.....don't share this with the Admin Guy anytime soon! Lretty sure steam is still coming out of his ears after yesterday! Even more sure he may not see any humor in this for a really long time...or ever!

He is currently locked up in a padded cell pulling out what last few hairs he has left in a fit of depression, induced by the fact he was unable to personally notify every Tripawds member—and all the guests seeking help—that the server was having technical difficulties.
Ms. Rene is correct. A meltdown of this magnitude not only means no forums, but no chat, no blogs, no other websites hosted here, no email, and no fun. Luckily, no hard drives required reformatting, and a team of trained monkeys have been dispatched to investigate the matter further.

Pam! Believe it or not, I only get a coffee when I take .erry Myrtle to Starbucks for her Pupp h Latte TuEsdays. It is an expresso frappuccino with whip cream though! and I do have an Honest Tea or two each day!
Talking fast as I type? OMC! One reason I stopped worrying about typose so much is it would take me seemingly hours to correct and type properly! Now I just let the typose fly....unless I type things like "pelvis" instead of "precious"! That way I can type a five sentnce reply lickety split fast in about an hour!!

I just now checked out this thread. With the hubby being out of commission and the hospital internet being something out of the early 90's, I really think I heard the eeeerrrrr of dial up when I tried to get on. Anyway, this was great, especially being able to picture faces now with the comments. Sally, I resist Linked in as much as you do Facebook. LOL Only get coffee when you go to Starbucks!!!!! I think my blood is 3/4 coffee. I had seen on Facebook that site would be down, Sally, you have my number also, so between Alison and I , we can keep you in the loop.
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
