Usually Internet Explorer is the problem; I use Firefox. In this case, the avatar simply wouldn't load on Firefox. I switched to IE to try it and voila, no problem.

Did you get any error message? If steps 4-6 above don't work, PM or email your password and we can add the avatar for you. Otherwise, we would need to reset your password.

Computer idiot here is trying to add an avatar and it is not working. I used the website mentioned above and my avatar is microscopic. I don't want to email a large file to you because I don't want to crash your system. Could you possibly email me Bella Doona Tooks e-mail address. When I tried to use the link above that didn't work either ( probably because I forgot the password for my .mac e-mail. Thank you.

Since the recent WordPress MU migration, we are diligently working to integrate the new site-wide User Avatars with the forum profile avatars here. That may just make this whole topic moot.
Log in to your main Tripawds profile, and upload your avatar here. It is much easier and you can ignore these instructions. You can upload any image and crop it online. Just make sure the filesize is less than 1.5 MB.
Note: Doing this will not update your profile here in the forums … as of yet. In the mean time, please feel free to send us an image for use with the above instructions.
