Grrr...having rotten connection  so will come back and look at  the photos  when stupid  connection  gets stronger.

I'm  in  Virginia  and just spent some time here with a tripawd member from NC.  Actually , we have several NC members.

Regardless  of where we are ,geographically, we are all connected by our love for dogs and catsand "neighbors in heart".

We're  with you and cheering for Monte!

Oh the pictures are not too big!! They are perfect!

I understand your frustration, I truly do. I was the same way with Huck, I think we all get that way in our own ways. Just want to hurry past this, get rid of the pain, and move forward with recovery... Totally normal and understandable.

Hello and a late welcome.

Monte is gorgeous!  I LOVE the brindle markings.  I don't have personal info to share as both of my Tripawds together only weigh about 30 pounds big-grin

I did want to share that my friend Cemil, an 150 pound Anatolian Shepard front amp due to OSA hopped through life for more than 9 years post op!  Of course not all are so lucky- but many outlive their prognosis.  My Pug Maggie lost a rear leg to mast cell cancer and was given 6 to 9 months with chemo.  Maggie lived almost 4 years and did not pass from mast cell cancer.

Best of luck with the surgery tomorrow, we will be looking for an update.

Karen and the Spirit Pug Girls

Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

Hello to all,

I have a praise to God in that Monte's CT scan showed no signs of spread, however, there is concern about his DCM.  There was another echocardio gram done as well.  They were giving him meds to try and keep his numbers stable and regulated.  The surgery is still taking place as I'm typing this now.  Please continue to pray that his vitals and heart stay strong.

Thank you so much for the love, support and encouragement you all shareheart

I will relay another update as I know them.

Love to all,

Elizabeth and Monteheartheart

Hang in there and keep us posted. Get your rest, he will be home before you know it.

P.S. what is "DCM"? Sorry I don't recognize that term.

DCM is dilated cardiomyopathy - in human lingo that means an enlarged heartheart

A great new day as a tripawd Dane!  Monte had a good report this morning.  He has been up to walk, had a bm (so he's had to balance), not eating just yet but progress!  He will stay another night in the hospital which I knew would possibly be the case.

Thank you all so much for being here!!

Theresa, do you by chance have pictures of Eurydice wearing t-shirts and her harness?  I'm trying to visualize this before hand.  His harness is being fixed so he has added length in the straps!  Big boyheart

I would also like to express how grateful this site was started.  I have mentioned the support I have received from here and reading about the journeys of others.  It's been interesting to see how many places, vet offices included, don't know the tripawd site exist.  I for one am soooo glad we found youheartheart
