Sweeeeeeet! Trouble, you are losing weight while on Prednisone? That is simply amazing!!!

It's wonderful to hear that you're doing so well. Keep it up, superstar!

Comet, they had me wait 3 days – I had given her 50 mg two days before I picked up the prednisone, and had been giving the low dose Rimdayl for about a week.  They had me wait one more day, so 3 days total.  I have to go in on Friday to have her weighed and I was going to ask when I can resume the Rimadyl.  I'll let you know.

Interesting. I've heard 3 days and then I've heard a week. Thanks for bringing this up Comet, and for looking into it Shanna. I'd love to find out which one it is.

Thanks Shanna!  I'm doing 75mg of Rimadyl daily.   Oh, and how much did Troub take of prednisone?  (I'm not self-medicating yet…but I might.)

Oh and did you get a Rimadyl coupon?  I got two because my husband signed up for the coupon also. There are no restictions on whether you can use the two together!  I love taking advantage of the big pharmas!

It is official.  Trouble is down to her post chemo weight.  She went from 68.8 to 56.7 pounds and is now ready for a maintnenace program. She had a great checkup.  Heart strong, no lymph node enlargement, and down to her weight goal.  Dr F is really pleased.

I just noticed I didn't reply to the last couple of posts here.  Sorry, guys I'm a bit sleep deprived and it makes me pretty goofy ;)  Trouble was on 20 mg prednisone in graduating doses – twice a day for three days, once a day for three days, then every other day until gone (about 2 weeks).  She gets her last one tomorrow.

And the prednisone to Rimadyl change over – 7 days to allow for the prednisone to be out of the body.  He did tell me if I had to give it to her go ahead, but the preferrence is to wait.  If she needs something during that period, I will try to make do with tramadol.
