On September 18th, Knoxville is having its first annual Morris Animal Foundation K9 Cancer Walk to raise awareness of K9 cancer!  Our ET Gayle is walking and we can help support K9 cancer by making a donation on her behalf!  Donations can be as little as $10 and all of the money raised helps support The Morris Animal Fountation to help fight K9 cancer!

These are tax deductable donations.  Gayle has a set up a goal of reaching $1000 and she's almost half-way there!  If you haven't donated, please consider doing it since it's a great cause!

Thanks for posting this reminder Comet! You Rock!

Morris is one of our all-time favorite animal organizations, it's so neat they're doing a walk back east, finally. We wish we could be in KY but we'll be there in spirit!

comet, thanks for the reminder post – we had it on our blog, but this puts it 'front and center'.  we are proud to show knoxville that cancer can't keep a good girl down!!!  tripawds rule and we'll show them how we do it.  if you want to donate, remember, go to our page:  http://support……fr_id=1160

wish we had tripawd friends closer to east tennessee to walk with us, but know that we'll have all of you, and especially our fallen warriors, in our hearts as we walk to end cancer.

We did the walk with Abby back in February this year in San Diego. It was really fun and Abby got a lot of great swag.

Wish we could all get together to walk as a big ol' tripawd crew. But we donated and will be walking with you in spirit. We think MAF is a great organization to donate to.

Have fun on the walk!

Jackie, Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Way to go Gayle and Charon!!!

Speaking of which, if anyone reading is in Illinois or close enough to it for a special occasion/cause, I'm looking at possibly participating in a similar walk in November and would love to meet up with other Tripawd members!  Check out my post in the Tripawd Parties forum, if interested: http://tripawds…..l-nov-6th/  Let's go on the offensive against cancer!!!

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009. He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury. Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com

I wish all of us could walk together too. That would be awesome. No doubt we will be behind those who have a walk in their area.

You walk for each of us who are on the journey or whose journey has ended. We are thankful for you choose to do this for all of us.

We are so proud of you guys!  Sammy says to tell you he is beaming with pride and hopes that you will think of him a little on your walk.   I  will wear my purple juju socks on that day for good luck!

Way to "bring it!"

Hey everypawdy,

ET Gayle and Sister Charon only need

$200 to make their Morris K9 Cancer Walk Goal!

Look under the couch cushions, empty the laundry hamper, anything helps!

We are with you in spirit on your miles. Cancer sucks — for canines and humans alike, and we want to KICK cancer butt!!!

We are also walking in the Seattle area 2 Million Dogs "Puppy Up" walk in November. We are hoping to get a team of folks together to walk for Tripawds and for canine cancer awareness. If any Washingtonians want to join us, PM me.
