However you say it, yesterday (yes, yesterday and I am lame) was Dakota's eight-month ampuversary. We did celebrate. I cooked a turkey breast and D and Evelyn got a lot of scraps, plus all of the yummy skin that I removed. They got enough to make me wonder if they'd make it to the yard in time when they had to…you know.

Dakota has done well, though I've had to bump up his Rimadyl by a half-tablet. He does seem to get around better for it, and that's a good thing. He is shedding like a wild, young Bohemian so I know autumn is here. We had our first snow on Saturday (October 8th) and he was blissed out over that. All in all, a good life for a good dog. cool

Hooray for Dakota and eight months!! Turkey breast, especially the skin, sounds like a good celebration.

Abby will have her cheese tonight in his honor.

Give him some belly rubs from me and some kisses from Abby, (and hugs to Evelyn)

Jackie, Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Woo hoo!  Happy 8 month ampuversary, Dakota Dawg!!!  We will definitely have a pawty here in your honor – cheese, and plenty of it, and some ice cream too.  We hope you have a pawsome day!

Hugs,

Holly, Zuzu and Susan

PS – Holly Jolly here – can you roll in the snow for me?  We haven't gotten any of that white stuff here in Chicago yet, and I love to roll around in it!  Mom says I make snow angels. big-grin

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time! http://anyemery.....ipawds.com

say what?

Was Evelynn the one that came up with that title in hopes of hindering your ampuversary wishes? Some of us are a bit slow with the many languages….at least my mom is…haha

Anyway….as always…you rock!!! Roll in the snow for me! Our mtn got 1 ft but nopawdy has taken me up there to get my roll on!

Your friend,

Bud

OH!  Another wonderful celebration!  YAY for Dakota!  Hooray, hooray, hooray!

TEEHEEHEE!  The title threw this mommy off too!   I was worried to click in thinking Shari had finally "lost it" and gibberish was how she was writing!

Oh I absolutely have lost it. No doubt about it. And I ain't too proud to admit it. But I figured since I was a day off this month and was like 10 days off a couple of months ago, I should say it in many different ways. And no, I didn't make any of it up! The last one is Zulu, by the way. In case you ever need to ask for eight of something in Zulu. You never know.
