I wish we could do a contribution each time, so please note that when we do make one – it's in honor of all recent losses.

Golden hugs to all that recently lost their pup, and to those in the journey!

Oh, that is so thoughtful. Tripawds has been so important to us during this rollercoaster ride.

We miss our girl so much, but it helps to know she touched others' hearts as well.
Jackie & Mike and Angel Abby

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Thanks for the shout-out! It is hard to believe that Jake has been gone for almost 10 years now. Even after all this time, I still get a bit of email from Jake's page and am so grateful to be able to refer people to Tripawds to get the support and community that didn't yet exist back in 1998.

So cherish this place and the wonderful folks who run it and inhabit it!!

Every time you take time out of your busy day to offer support to another Tripawds member, it sends a gift of love that reverberates around the world.

This week we received a generous gift of support from Christina, a friend of Brave Warrior Super Sammy, who recently earned his wings after a courageous battle with bone cancer. She sent us this gift in memory of Sammy. Here's what Christina says about YOU, the Tripawds family:

"I am very a very close friend of a couple who found hope, support encouragement and comfort in the Tripawds community when their beloved Bernaise Mountain dog Sammy, aka SuperSammy, was diagnosed with cancer early in 2011.

As one of the first people Sue shared the shocking news and options with, I was really at a loss as her friend as to what to do other than listen. Luckily, She quickly found the Tripawds community website and everything changed for the positive so quickly it is hard to explain.

The information, people, and of course all the amazing dogs in this community helped Sue and JB in the difficult decision making stage, and ultimately make the right choice. When they went thru the surgery, this new community was there for her in a way I couldn't be because I just never had this experience.

Last but not at all least, when Sammy passed over the rainbow bridge last November, again, this community was there for her. So, my donation is just a way of saying THANK YOU to everyone at Tripawds, and thank you to everyone in the Tripawds community who encouraged and supported Sue & JB when they needed it most.

Sam was an beautiful, fun, gentle spirit and is greatly missed. He was lucky to have Sue and JB, and they would say they were lucky to have him.

I am just a grateful friend who has great respect and appreciation for everyone in this special community. – Christina"

Three big paws up to you for your kindness Christina, and everyone here who makes this world a better place for Tripawds and those who love them.

xoxo

And the Ruff Wear Harness Angels keep on spreadin' the love . . .

Recently a very special pawrent named Troy Hudson sent the Tripawds community a very generous gift of support. Thank you so much, Troy!

Troy is the pawrent of Spirit Kaneda, a beautiful Sheppie girl who we were lucky enough to meet at our 2010 Tripawds Colorado Pawty near Denver. This isn't the first time he has added to the magic that is this community….

After Kaneda earned her wings, that harness you see her wearing in this photo has gone on to help two other Tripawders!

In July 2010, Troy sent Kaneda's magical harness over to Bo in Florida. Here he is wearing it, isn't he handsome?

Later, when Bo went on to earn his wings, his Momma Meghan helped share the love by sending it on to the beautiful Ingrid in Tennessee.

This is Ingrid, proudly wearing this very special harness.

It's just amazing to us how the love gets paid forward over and over again in so many different ways.

Thank you so much Troy, and to everyone here who reaches out to help one another and make the Tripawds journey easier. xoxo

A very big, heartfelt shout out goes to Miss Pegz and her pack!

Recently this courageous warrior princess and her human, Karen, assisted the Tripawds community with a generous gift of support. It was quite a surprise, and it will help sustain this community in so many different ways.

We send our deepest gratitude to the Pegz Pack for thinking of  this community. What an honor!

Muchas Gracias Rita!

Last week, Monkeydog Rita entered a Cinco de Mayo funny photo contest and she told us that if she won she would gift the jackpot to help support the Tripawds community.

After a tremendous campaign, Rita made it into the top 3!

This irresistible photo could not be ignored:

Rita has generously sent her winnings to Tripawds. What lucky dawgs!

Thank you Rita and Momma Jackie for your kindness.

Now, get back to your pawting!

Thanks to all the Tripawds folks who voted for my little boozer, Margarita-loving Rita, and helped her bring home 3rd place! First place would have been better (more $$ for Tripawds) but 3rd seems fitting. It is our lucky number around here, after all!

In our book, there was no contest at all. It was Rita all the way. She is the most attractive and obviously a fine party animal, so she deserved first place.
