In the spirit of Comet's, Tasha's and Gayle's moms, my mom has offered to make some hand knit mittens once those awesome socks sell out. Then we'll have all extremities covered! I know this is kind of lopsided – you California and southern climate tripawds probably don't need mittens for your pawrents as much as the northern tripawd pawrents do. So.. if you'd like mittens please let my mom know if you'd like regular warm mittens or really, really warm (felted) mittens and she'll knit you up a pair! And let Jerry know that you'd love to donate $100 to keep the lights on!
Like Gayle's mom, my mom spent my 2 week recovery time knitting away. My sisters and their friends benefitted from the mittens she made then. Now my friends can benefit! And we can help keep the lights on!
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Yeay! Thank you! Thank you!!!! I can't think of anything cooler than to be decked out in knitted Tripawds gear!
As for California Tripawd pawrents….are you kidding? They freak out if the temperature drops below 70! Of course they can use them!
P.S. I think it's time to start a Tripawds knitting circle now, dontcha think everypawdy? We've got some TALENT out there!
Thanks so much for this very cool offer, we really appreciate it!
that is just wonderful!!!! who knew there were so many talented artisans here…. now if only fortis would get busy and start knitting those victoria's secret items… tee hee…
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Hooray for Holly! Thanks for the generous offer, we'll send you the names of contributors who qualify.
But for the record, we should let everyone know you're willing to knit five pairs of mittens, like Gayle's offer for five pairs of socks. So supporters better act soon! We can't have them thinking everyone gets mittens!
Oh – thank you Admin! I forgot to mention that! 10 warm hands… and 10 warm toes… sounds like the start of a children's book. And Gayle's right – fortis needs to get busy on those victoria's secret items. bwahahahaha

Wow, Some serious talent lurks within the ranks of this pawsome community. s. I've got me ten fine toes to wiggle in the sand. Lots of idle fingers snap to my command……sorry sorry. I just started singing. that's scary.

Jerry,
Hummmm…. that's an interesting fund raising strategy- reverse psychology perhaps? Nothing like perpetuating stereotypes. I knew I shouldn't have shown Barney by the swimming pool!
Did you think if you insulted us or made us mad we would contribute more? Oh, oh wait… maybe its that other stereotype- you know how all Californians are laid back- so you think you can say anything you want and we won't get upset???
Off the top of my head I can think of 11 tripawds and their packs living in California, and you say we 'freak out'???? Are you sure you want to piss us all off??
I know you all think of California as one big beach, but we have mountains and snow and winters and stuff like that… but to you its all 'chill out' and 'surfs up', and 'knarly dude'.
And by the way didn't I see your parents in California in December?? What's the matter is it too cold in Colorado in December? Is the temperature below 70?
Excuse me now while I go meditate, then fix a cup of herbal tea and put a sweatshirt on because its down to 69 here tonight.
Karen and the not at all sensitive pug girls

Forever the leader of our pack, 3/26/99 to 6/2/10.

Heeeeee!!! Heeeee!!! Ok, Ok, I know you NorCal peeps are much different from the SoCal crowd, forgive me!!!! Oh wait, I don't want to piss off ANY of you guys! Sorry!
And yeah, it's hella cold in Colorado in December!
Oh, don't forget to put on some Yanni after you meditate, ohmigod he'll really help you chill out, ya know?
Many thanks to Jane & Cathy (Skyler's moms) and Sarah Crooke (Jake) – they qualified for mittens. So I'm with Charon – the noise you hear is the clack clack clack of my needles! One more pair left… anyone else need warmth next winter?

…and if you want the thumbs on your mittens, that's an extra $25! (Holly told me!)
She departed us unexpectedly from bleeding internally on January 23, 2011
Comet came from a dog hoarder and was born with a deformed front leg. She was sassy and bossy but oh so much fun! She lost her brother, Rugby in 2009 and got Monkeybutt, the king of Monkeydogs! He was the most annoying dog ever to a tripawd!

We've got lots of generous members to thank for recent campaign contributions …
Susan (aka: tazzie) will also be keeping cometdog busy.
New member Elizabeth from the UK also deserves thanks for her gift as does Karen who purchased five of our new Tripawds Bandannas to give to three legged dogs she meets.
With one month to go for meeting our campaign goal, please consider joining these members by giving what you can. Or, take the Tasha Challenge for an easy way to give a bit more. And don't forget, the next three contribtors who give $75 or more and request it can receive a custom Tripawds t-shirt from Chloe's mom.
