Hi Pals!

What a fantastic time I had over the holidays!  Just want to wish all of you a very happy and healthy new year!  I had a wonderful christmas - had lovely chicken, gammon, turkey and beef to eat - and of course, nice treats from mommy!!

It is really so hot here in Cape Town - with temperatures hovering around 86 F (that is 30 decrees celcius in our South African temperature measurements).  Summer is fantastic for walks and playing outside, but I am so damn hot!!  Its very hard for me to sleep at night....Embarassed

Grandpa went on a fishing trip this week so I have to take good care of grandma.  Mommy is back at work - and hating every minute...hiehiehie... She had a dream that Jerry's parents called her up and told her that they will be visiting South Africa....  She was so excited about the visit, we made these wonderful plans for fun trips to the beach... Any chance that this may happen in the future??

Love you all lots!!

Lots of love and licks, Dee xxx

Howwwwwwwlllldy to you too Dee! It's always so nice to hear from you. We're so happy you had a great Christmas and are doing well.

Someday we'd like to have Christmas in our swimsuits on the beach, so yeah, maybe Mom and Dad will give you a call and come visit. Mom really likes hot weather. Dad can take it as long as there's cold beer around! They are looking into doing property caretaking, hopefully  internationally if they can swing it, maybe later this year. South Africa looks just beautiful, you are so fortunate to live in such a gorgeous place, and I know we'd love it there.

Oh yeah, what's "gammon" Dee? Sounds yummy!

Hi!

I agree with your mom, spirit Jerry - Warm weather is the BEST!  So perhaps a warm sunny christmas is the way to go this year! Wink

If all goes well, Mommy will be traveling to the USA again in June/July 2010.  She will be renting out her house because South Africa is hosting the 2010 Soccer (Football) World Cup during that time.  Mommy wants to experience the summer weather in NY and California - we both dislike the winter months.  Although theres no snow - its very cold and it rains for days and days…  Not very nice if you want to go out and play!

Gammon is salted pork that grandma puts in the oven - with a lovely cranberry/honey sauce on it… mmmm…. makes me drewl all over again!  In South Africa we have a different christmas tradition - we make cold meats and salads, because of the heat and we have a big christmas lunch on the 25th.   On christmas eve we (me included of course!) have snacks and drink sparkling wine and ciders - we stay up until 12:00 and exchange gifts!  I always get all the leftovers - which include some mussels, tuna, biscuits, chips, cottage cheese, etc…mmmmmmmm……. ( I dont indulge in alcohol - I learnt my lesson when I was still a puppy - but that is a story for another day!! hiehiehie)

Good wishes to your family and to everyone out there!

Love you lots, Ansunette & Dee xxx

Dee, you know how to pawty! That sounds SO yummy! Your Christmas meals sound wonderful.

Someday you must share that alcohol story with us. Poor baby!

Hope to cross paths with you at some point in the real world. Until then, many many hugs to you. Hoppy New Year!
