To fellow tripawds:  we all should be very grateful to our pawrents for the support they have given us, and to be by our sides during our health crisis.

To all pawrents: kudos to all of you to show us your love, to try your very best to give us chances to live quality lives, and your courage and commitments to decide to walk the journey with us.

* * *

My mom just came back from another dog cancer forum.  Her eyes were red.

Like most of us, Jake was diagnosed with OS.  It has just started to spread in his lungs.  His pawrent,  18 years old, wanted to help.  She wanted to at least try.  She would decide amputation and improve Jake's diet, plus she was pondering on trying K9  Immunity.

However, Jake's grand-pawrents did not want to do a thing to help.  Plus the poor prognosis from the onco didn't help at all to change their decisions.  His grand-pawrents even said that the operation would only make the cancer spread faster.

Jake's poor pawrent cannot do a thing, obviously, it is the grand-pawrents who hold the purse strings.

Jake's fate is sealed.  He will leave his pawrent tomorrow.

My mom told me that she hoped Jake's grand-pawrents would change their minds the next several hours.  I hope so too.

I just wanted to tell you all about this.
Not a good start of the day for my Mom.
I will try to be a good girl tonight to make my Mom happy again!

Here, Here! Or shall I say, Woof! Woof!

And here's to Jake. May his journey be peaceful.

Thanks for sharing. Every story is different.

Hi Genie, thanks for reminding me how great my pawrents are and for sharing this story.  It sure makes me appreciate my pawrents and everything they have done and will do for me and my brothers and not to take them for granted.  A toast for Jake and that his travels be full of calmness and peace.
