Granny Kay, Angel Comet and Monkeybutt-Rocket's granny would like to donate two (2) Granny Kay quilts to help support the Tripawds website.  One is in memory of Comet who left us unexpectedly and suddenly last month.  The other one is in memory of Comet's only uncle who died, also unexpectedly and suddenly on this very day, February 26 in 2007.  He loved dogs so much!  He was

the only person, next to Comet's mom who was able to touch Comet from the first moment he met her.

Both he and Comet had a special connection because they both went through life with a disability.  Comet had a deformed leg and Rafan had spina bifida that made him have neurological damage to his foot.  He was also incontinent.  They were both so special.

Granny Kay will make two quilts for two people who would like one.  She just needs to know if it is for a girl or a boy and if it's a tripawd, is it a front or back leg amputation.  It doesn't have to be a tripawd, it can be a monkeydog! It will have embroidered pawprints (either 3 or 4 – whichever you decide)

All Granny Kay asks is that you make a donation to Tripawds for at least $75 for a quilt.  All of the money goes toward helping Tripawds.com stay on line.

It is very special indeed to have a Granny Kay quilt.  All made with love.  Granny Kay is very generous to donate her time for Tripawds.  I LOVE the monkey quilt.  That is just too cute!

Wow. This just in from HQ…

Tripawds member dsimas sent a generous contribution and said:

Can I get a Granny's Quilt??? But I want to give it as a gift for my hero Cemil! So please send it to Cemil's momma Mary James?

Looks like Granny Kay will be busy, so no more quilts are available. Many thanks to everyone for their support of the Tripawds community.

What a beautiful video of your brother – please know that we are thinking of you and your mom on this day. And Comet's video? Well what can I say – cookie cute in every way!  I have to second what Shanna said about Granny Kay quilts  – very special indeed. And I hold mine close and dear to my heart cause I know they were made with a lot of love. Thank you Granny Kay for this wonderful gift to tripawds.

Kobe and his Granny Kay Quilt

My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

What an awesome community we have. Too bad I found this late – Yesterday (the 26th) was one year since our old guy passed, a granny kay quilt and donation in his honor would've been perfect! Of course, donation is still on it's way!

Well, you better send over your preference because Granny Kay just said that she would make one for you!

AND she said she'll make as many as whoever wants one!  So admin – no worries – Granny Kay quilts are available to all Tripawders and Monkeydoggers that wants one!

Granny Kay is really cool!  My mom is making a quilt for me.  Actually, she started it, like, four months ago!  She is sooooo slow!  She never made a whole quilt before, just squares for other peoples' quilts.  I'll bet she never gets my quilt done.  Harummphhh.

Wow, Granny Kay and Ge'Lena, you guys are so special cry Makes my cry, but they're happy tears because I feel so blessed to be a part of this community.  The videos are beautiful, it's obvious they come straight from the heart.  I think Athena deserves a Monkeydog quilt because she was such an important part of Sadie's life, and now Rangers.  I'll give Granny Kay a chance to catch up with her current orders (is there still monkey fabric available? wink)

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end.  On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us. http://ranger.t.....pawds.com/
