I'm so glad he is holding his own!

My last doberman got lung cancer (totally different than the fibrosarcoma that Spencer has, the one my last dog got started in his lungs and was much slower than what Spencer is dealing with).  he was diagnosed in April and was with us until February.  he was on prednisone most of that time and it really did seem to help him.

Jac and Angel Spencer.  Spencer was 5.25 years old. He fought a grade 3 fibrosarcoma, started on his shoulder.  Left front leg amputated in August 2011.  15 weeks of chemo finished 12/22/11 (mytox and adria).  Lung mets found on x-rays 12/28/11.  Started carboplatin 1/6/12. Went to Heaven on 2/27/12. I miss him like crazy every day.  See his blog here:  http://spencer.tripawds.com/

Meghan, you are doing what most people want to do but seem unable to figure out how to do–overlook what's at our feet and instead look ahead and above. You are keeping your eyes on Bo and not his cancer. Very hard for humans. But your family and Bo each benefit in so many ways.

I had also been wondering how Bo was doing, and I'm really delighted to hear that his days are good. Two bad days is nothing; I have two bad days a week easily! Keep loving him and giving him those beach days, ear scratches and yummy stuff.

Hoorah for Bo and 3 months! Three is a beautiful number!

Huh, ice cubes and burgers – not a combo I'd heard of before! (Note to self, convince Abby that ice cubes = fabulous treats!)

Keep on trucking along Bo! Big hugs and sweet Abby kisses,

Jackie, Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Meghan, I think you SHOULD start a new post for this! It's an ampuversay, for crying out loud!

New Post! New Post! New Post!

How else is Bo going to know how many people are cheering him on?  surprised

Shari

Yea Bo- congrats on 3 months.  Keep up the fight- one day at a time.

I wish I could get away with ice cubes as treats, I think the pugs might leave home.  They are very into the juicy burger thing though…
