Happy Ampuversary to my sweet Barret. 2 years and still going strong!
He's living it up in the great outdoors during this gorgeous Alaskan summer. I'm so blessed to have him, my other furkids, and this wonderful community!
June 11th, 2013 my journey started and here we are still surviving!
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
That's awesome! Hoppy Ampuversary Barret!! You had your surgery not too long after Murphy. You two are certainly defying the odds together!

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

Hoppy ampuversary, Barret ! Keep going strong.
Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet. Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues. Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle. October 17: started having seizures. Taking fenobarbital for seizures. April 18: started prednisone.
Yipeeee! Wow has it been 2 years already? Congrats Barret & family! Looks like Alaska is being very very good to you all. Glad you made it though your first winter. May there be many, many more!

I just love that Barret sits up on his hind legs with doodle ears. He really stands out and it makes him taller than his buddies. Congratulations on two years Barret!
My kitty Mona had her front leg amputated one year ago. At first it seemed odd to celebrate an amputation but after thinking about it I realized it's about survival. Mona has bypassed the statistics of surviving vaccine associated fibrosarcoma (66 days for tumour removal only or 325 days with amputation). So I am celebrating that Mona continues to enjoy life and is very happy hopping around, doing cheek plants, and eating dental kibbles in bed.
Thank you all for sharing your tripawd stories, celebrations, poop dances, photos, and grief of losing your well-loved tripawds. This is a fabulous community.

my beautiful girl Neka is 18 months post op amputation due to OSA, our lung xrays are still clear, and even though we have a new STS mass on back left leg we just surgically removed, we are still fighting but as you can see happy...
