Gus is still moving and drinking a little, but I think we are on the final leg of this journey, and as I have said all along I won't let him suffer for my sake, I am hoping he will go to sleep and that will be it, but at least it is working out I am able to be here with him so I guess thats the good part, we'll keep you posted, paws up, Gus and Dan

My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010

Daisy, 12 years young, had left forelimb amp on 5/19/2010 due to osteosarcoma. She left her body behind and joined the other spirit tripawds on 7/16/2010. So grateful for each day with her! Lexi (Daisy's momma)

Skyler earned her wings and regained her right rear limb on 6/11/2010. Chloe earned her wings and joined her sister Skyler on 4/4/2011.They are now "Happy Together" with all the other Tripawd heroes and other furbabies that are running free at Rainbow Bridge.

Sadie and I have our paws and fingers crossed that Gus can be comfortable and as happy as possible. I hope that when he's ready, he will just go to sleep like you said. I had a dog that did that, and I was there with her, and it was sad, but peaceful. Gus has a great life though, so don't be suprised if he's not quite ready yet. He may fight a little thinking he's ate his last wood chuck. Let him know that when the time comes, there will be lots of them, and he'll have 4 legs to chase them with.

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us. http://ranger.t.....pawds.com/

Recently I put out a prayer request to a bunch of friends, that when Tshuvah's time comes, that she be granted an easy, quick, merciful passing. One of my friends sent this back to me, and I find it of enormous comfort. I've adapted it for Gus:

May Gus be held under the wings of the Divine Spirit.
