We're embarrassed that it's been so long since we've been on the forum :(

I have had ongoing computer problems……take that, add a laptop whose letter "V" doesn't work…..add struggling to find part time employment to supplement my meager pet sitting income……and constantly trolling shelters in search of dogs in dire need of help and I hope y'all will forgive us for being a bit M.I.A.

I know that some of you have furkids that have crossed over, and you have my heartfelt condolences and understanding.  I had to make the decision none of us want to about a month ago when I sent my old beloved rescued kitty Sammy on his journey Home to the Rainbow Bridge…..Sammy looked like he would just as soon beat the crap out of you as look at you, but he was a truly gentle soul and I dearly miss his physical presence.

Shelby is now more than 4 months post-amputation and she continues to amaze me.   She is the fastest of my 4 dogs…..she runs, she jumps, she swims…..she plays knock-down-drag-out Bitey Face with my 8 year old golden, Phoebe, and I do mean they play ROUGH.  I realize what a blessing this is…..I don't take it for granted and I thank the universe each and every day for the gift of my Tropical Storm Shelby.  She is truly a force of nature.  Where she gets this boundless energy, I don't know….but I'd sure like to bottle it.

On another note (I should probably post this elsewhere), I have a medium sized pair of the no-skid socks that I ordered for Shelby.  They were too small and they lasted about 2 seconds.  Tried them on my smaller golden retriever Frankie and she promptly tried to eat them off.  If anyone would like them, they are about as good as new…….please email me at BHS74FlyGirl@aol.com and I will happily send them your way.  (Please keep in mind I'm on a borrowed computer at the moment and my own is a bit "iffy", so if I don't get back to you immediately…..I will eventually.  I promise)

You guys were there for me at such a rough time in my life…..and if I ever slow down (yeah, right) and get this @#$!@ computer fixed, I'll be here more often to lend as much support as I can!  We think of all of you and thank you for the great people you are!

Pam & Shelby…….living life to the fullest :)

Good to hear from you again! Sounds like you have many golden moments! By the way… I don't know if I ever told you, but I have the saying "When you start missing…" on my computer here at work – as a gentle reminder….as I do still have Chloe…but I sure do miss my Skyler cry

Hope you get your computer back in order and find additional employment. Sending you golden hugs laughingbig-blink

Skyler earned her wings and regained her right rear limb on 6/11/2010. Chloe earned her wings and joined her sister Skyler on 4/4/2011.They are now "Happy Together" with all the other Tripawd heroes and other furbabies that are running free at Rainbow Bridge.

Please post your generous offer in the Tripawds Angel Exchange. If you ask people to PM you there is no need to expose your email address online like that.

Thanks for the great update, glad to hear Shelby is doing well! big-grin
