QuoteWell, I've been MIA for a bit (my three pesky kids of the two-legged variety keep getting in the way of my computer time!), but I did want to check in to report that Mika has been doing GREAT! She did go to the vet a while back for the ugly pressure sore that was the diameter of an English muffin (blech, I know), that finally fell off about a month ago. Man, that thing was grosser than her actual surgery site!! At the time, the vet also said her lungs sounded perfect too!
Anyway, she's looking good and going strong. (I'm sure she could take down the UPS delivery guy if we let her. HAHA! (For some reason, FedEx she doesn't mind so much, so maybe it's the brown she doesn't like. I can't blame her. I mean really, it's not a very flattering color on anyone…) And she's up to her old antics, like begging for pizza (which she can't have anymore) and chattering her teeth when she gets super-excited. 
So that's my quick update. And we actually did give her a slice of salami, mushroom, olive for her ampuversary.

Comet - 1999 to 2011She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

congratulations on your ampuversary Mika!!! you and i are just about 'twins' in all of this, so it's good to hear you are doing so well, and even getting pizza once in a while – sweet!! i'm not much on the ups brown either…but i really don't like the mailman coming by every day..every day..for pete's sakes..does he have to come by every day????
hope you have many, many, many more great times ahead!!!

This is wonderful to hear. Other than the pizza, how's her diet going these days? Did you ever make a switch? Oh, and that poo too, what's up with it?

oh thank you thank you…the second piece of good news this morning, happy fourth ampuversary…celebrate celebrate…and if the pizza isn't too toxic for whatever reason…how bout a piece every single ampuversary of which I pray there will be TONS!!
OH HAPPY DAY….congrats and go get the ups guy/gal (just kidding…scare them a little..) and for heaven's sake I HOWLED at this:
