Thank you for all of your valuable information when I was so confused and devastated when I was given Lilly's diagnosis of bone cancer.  Everything I read gave me hope but unfortunately "Lilly The Warrior" lost her battle.  When she had her hind leg amputated her lungs were clear and lymph nodes were clear.  She had one chemo treatment and I was looking forward to having her around for a long time because I knew she was a fighter.  As a puppy she survived parvo and mange.  Within three weeks her lungs went from perfectly clear to covered with nodules.  She was having difficulty breathing and I was told she only had approx. 1 week with the medication she was given.  I could not watch her struggle to breath and made the difficult decision to put her down after fighting cancer for 3 months.  It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do because she was the sweetest dog I have ever had.  She had the biggest personality and everyone that met her loved her!  She had a love and a curiosity for life that was unmatched.  To Lilly--thank you for being my friend and for giving me the honor of being able to share your life for the last year.  It was all too short.  I love you and miss you.

My heart is breaking for you!  Sadly we do oftentimes see the cancer spread quickly in pups that are so young.  I suppose younger dog = faster metabolism = canger spread.  So unfair!  I know your love for Lilly shines through your post!  She obviously was a true ❤️ Dog. Know you did all you could for your brave girl.  I also know there are no words of comfort at this hardest time.  But know we are here for you and sending you peace and light at this hardest of times.  The worst part of loving so deeply is also having to grieve deeply.  Know this entire community is grieving with you.  You were the best doggie Mama and Lilly knows that and surely thanks you!  Fly free new Angel!  You gained your wings far, far too soon.

Sending love

This is sooo devastating ti hear. I am so very, very, very sorry. The tears are flowing, yet again. Lilly has joined so many June Angels that head to the Rainbow Bridge the past couple of weeks.

We all cry, we mourn, we hurt with you and for you. EVERY loss takes us to our knees. To have Lilly be doing sooo well and then to have this brutal piece of crap disease take her so quickly....it is just adds an extra layer of sadness, it that's even possible. We are soooo sorry.

You gave Lilly the release before the crisis of real suffering took over. You released her with dignity and love. That poece of crap disease didn't touch her Spirit!!

Clearly Lilly loved every second of every day she spent with her humans! You showed her happiness and joy!

We are soooo honored to hzve the privilege of getting to know Warrior Lilly...sooo honoredheart

PLEASE stay connected. You and Lilly are family. And the grief part is no easy...not at all. We have been by your side the whole time and we aren't leaving your side now.

As hard as it is right now, the happy memories, the thousands and thousands of happy memorie, will eventually push the sadness further in the background.

And goodness knows, Lilly nad soooo much fun and soooo many happy times by your side! Well, maybe the flies didn't enjoy all the "attentuon" she gave them.

When you can, PLEASE share more of the great adventures you had with Sweet Lilly. And we must have pictures. We can help you post them if need be. Just let us know.

Lilly WILL send you messagee, or show you signs, that she is still in yiur energy field...she is still present with you. We can ALL tell you that WILL happen! So pay attention, okay?

Of course, she might be a bit preoccupied at the Bridge for a bit. There are soooo many exciting to do and to see. And with her unbridled curiosity, she will be checking out EVERYTHING!!! The Angel Wings will fascinate her! The wildflowers and babbling brooks will be such fun to explore!

Surrounding you with our love, our hugs and Lilly's happy wagging tail and sloppy kisses

You WILL move through it....it WILL be pushed further in the back ground by the happy times.

And make no mistake about this.....Lilly WILL send you another dog to show what love feels like and to put some color and joy back in your life. And there is no "acceptable time"....it's when LILLY decides she has the perfect dog for you (even if you might not see it yet)! It may happen in a week!! It may happen in a month or two! It WILL ahppen and we cannot wait to see who our Sweet Lilly sends you!

Stay here with us, especially now. Know one j understands this journey like those of us here. We are your safe harbor.

Love and hugs

I am so sorry to hear this news.  It just isn't fair that some dogs get so little time.  Ok, nothing about cancer is fair.  We will all be thinking about you.

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

Oh my gosh what sad news, my heart breaks for your pack. That happened so darn fast.

I'm terribly sorry and how I wish you didn't have to make that awful decision so soon after her amputation. When a member of the Tripawds Nation passes, we all hope with all we've got that they will have a long happy life ahead. When cancer plays so unfairly like this, we all mourn the loss because we understand the depth of love that you feel for your sweet Lilly.

Always know that you did right by your girl. She did not suffer, she was a fighter to the end, and she learned it from the best humans she knows. Lilly's body is gone, but her spirit will keep shining brightly in all that you do. We hold you all close in our hearts, and send lots of love and condolences your way.

Lilly, you are in good company in doggie heaven. We have so many wonderful heroes waiting for you.
