Check out my bestest pal, enjoying New Hampshire's finest and a new tennis ball.  This guy had a great weekend and just LOVES surveying "his" property there, frolicking, letting the wind carry new smells to him, and the freedom to tripawd-romp without a leash.  I love this guy!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Thanks for sharing these videos and photo with us, Katy.

Jackson looks like he is truly in his element....and you are so right about a tripawd being off leash!

Oh, yes, Jackson. Way to show everyone how a Tripawd handles snow. Nothing to it!

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

OMG - Love that photo of him sitting in the snow. So regal. So sophisticated! What a beautiful photo!!!! Jackson you're looking sharp and debonair!

Shelby prefers to be off her leash too and sometimes it's easier for me to let her do the stairs w/out her leash since she picks up speed going down (rear amp) and I don't want to restrict her movement! Going up - she still beats me up the stairs! And honestly, on the street, I have had to slightly 'jog' after her to stop her when she's on a mission!

Great videos!!! Thank you for sharing. He's amazing!

Hugs,
Alison and Shelby

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Look at him go!  He just looks amazing, Katy.   Nothing slows him down.  He's so fast! The landscape is absolutely beautiful.

Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13.  Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14.  She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self.  Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14

I, like everyone else here, love this dog!

Jackson, you have more stamina than any hundred four legged young whipper snappers! You just LVE life!

You were so cute in that third video when yor mom wanted that tennis ball. You're like, "No, I've been chasing this tennis ball all day! I'm keeping it and savoring my catch!"

And you're right Kathy, Jackson loves just gong up and down "his" property and sniffing all the scents of the air. He's just soooooo hapy and sooooooo loving just "being"! An incredible inspiration on so many levels!

Fetch on Jackson! We're all cheering for you!

Love!

Sally and Happy Hannah

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Oh I love love love this!!!!! I so wish I had a big dog to play with in the snow! But watching Jackson is like watching a huge version of Jill frolicking in the snow! I swear the exact markings are uncanny! Jackson you look soooo great and healthy and happy!!!!! I love it!!!

Xoxo, erica and Jilly

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Thanks, everyone!  We had such a great weekend.  I love romping around with Jackson and this weekend was very special.  He's just the happiest up there.  I think that should be his final resting place...

@Alison: pretty much, for all of Jackson's walks we're in a slight jog to keep up.  He's very quick!  I don't mind, except for the 7am walks in this frigid weather.  After he's completed all his business out there, he's ready to RUN back inside - rather to stretch his legs and burn off some Zoomies rather than to get out of the cold.  It's fun, but when I'm in numerous layers, sprinting is hard work!
