JACKSON!!! JAAAAAACKKKKKKKSONNNNN !! Glad you are feeling a lottle perkier, but stop scaring your momma....and us too!!

Sounds like you are dealing with something that is NOT bad!!! So glad the major reports have all come b back okay! Sigh of relief...huge sigh of relief!!!

You're gonna get some good meds and good fluids and a good poop and be just fine!!!! TRUE!!

Hope he can come home. Maybe they can keep the catheter in and you can hook the bag up at home if he needs more fluids.

Sending all the best!!!!! ((((((((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))

He's up and moving about much more freely now and is stronger. His urine is better and the fluids (with electrolytes and glucose) are working their magic. He hasn't poo'd yet, so the countdown is on for induction...

The best news: his Xrays are clear! No new signs of cancer! We've decided to not have regular xrays done in more than 2 years, so this comes as an awesome surprise and wonderful, wonderful news!!!  His oncologist will get these, too, and confirm.

He'll spend the night as he clearly needs fluids and antibiotics.  I feel good about it.  While this could turn out to be constipation and will be a crazy bill for poop, I'm more than happy to pay for that!  I'll miss him tonight, but I know he's in great care and will come home tomorrow a little tired and ragged, but way healthier!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12.  Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ!  No side effects.  We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments.  He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors!  Our love. Our funny little guy!

Hooray! And that moving around will certainly get the innards moving around, too. What is it about taking them for a walk that promotes poop? Jackson, you do everything the doctor tells you to, so you can come home in the morning, you hear?

Kathi and Murphy

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Thinking of you and sending healing thoughts-sounds like positive news!! Feel better soon, adorable Jackson!!

Love,

Joan and Lly

Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Katy, I just read this. I am glad it is nothing major and that J has continued to kick butt.  I know the poop thing doesn't seem like a big thing but I am one who has to watch Bosch like a hawk with his fistualas.  If he doesn't go, it can cause major problems.  Also they can get very sick from not going.

When Bosch has his back up problem I give him a laxative.  I don't do it all the time usually try to do it with excercise and that works but if it doesn't then it is laxative time.

I am glad J is on the mend.  Keep kicking butt J.  Great news for the x-rays also.

Hugs

Yay for clear X-rays!!!! Did they think he may have a UTI? Elevated white count and bacteria in his urine. They can make one feel really yucky. Sounds like he is in great hands for the night having fluids and antibiotics. Keep us posted. Lori, Ty and the gang

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe.
