It's s battle of the wills Rene, but i truly believe the end result will be worth it as long as i can get my beautiful kitties on board. I have ferocious Oscar downstairs and on board. Huck and Andy are still not convinced yet. I'm doing as much reading as i can to work on that. I want harmony, and if I can get the other two back down all will be good.

There are several different opinions on how to make this work, but of course i don't fall into any of those categories with Huck lol.

This is our first step forward in success. Izzy is just so curious and wants to follow, which turns into chase if I'm not close by but Oscar won this one 💖

Yep, ice cubes are free!  Saving money on toys is a good thing!

OMD!!! The video of Oscar winning  the stare down is hilarious! 😂🤣 I love how they're  all checking  each other out!

And seeing what good pals  Izzy and Bo are.....so sweet!!

Thanks for sharing the fun!   Adorable  double trouble indeed!

Hugs

PS....Be careful with the name BO when using  the word "NO"!  Will be real ha4d for him to distinguish.   Might ise the word "stop" or "bad".

Congrats!

And of course you are quite insane big-grin.

TWO puppies?  Elly is 3.5 years old now and she still has more energy than me, I can't imagine two 4 month olds...

You are going to have such a good time!  I can't wait to follow along as they grow.

Thank you Karenbig-grin If I can work with these little ones to be anywhere near as good as you and yours are I will be so happy!

They seem to love to learn right now and are catching on to some things really well. The hardest thing right now is the housebreaking and the kitties, lol. Once we get that under control I think things will be good way-cool

I always wanted a puppy, now I got double trouble lol heart

Big hugs!

Careful what you wish for 🤣

They are SO amusing, your sweet pups, but then of course I am not the one cleaning up after them 🤣

You will definitely get there and the kitties will appreciate the puppies sooner or later, even if they are still playing hard to get (as cats do 😼)

Good luck sweetie, I cannot see you not laughing at their little naughtinesses (after the event) and remember, the Roxinator is much more of a challenge but his Mom is still standing tall 💪🏽

Hugs and cuddles 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Omd and today made me wonder that a few times, lol.

The Roxinator... today they could have been her mini me's lmao. I have read and keep up with all of their stories 😘  That woman is a saint on earth!!

I'll chalk up today to frantic housework and not enough exercise. Once my company is here and i have a week out of work I'm sure things will smooth out 💖💖💖

Hugs and love 💞💖💞😘🤗

Gave some updates that i have been meaning to post. Both important to me, but one mostly important to the community. If i have my time frame straight we have been faithfully on cbd for 6 months now. He is taking 10mg twice a day and he just weighed in at 70 pounds. I was too busy trying to stop him from breaking his neck in the few times he tried to go up the stairs before, but many of you are well seasoned pawrents. My detail to describe it was... He rarely went up stairs. Almost never. When he did, it was a few spiteful times to pee on the rug. Diapers on every night, many accidents. He dragged himself twisting up and down and tripped both ways. Not that we let him, but once in a while he would surprise us that way, like in the middle of the night when he normally lays on the rug or the couch.

He was incontinent of urine for about a year and a half, getting progressively worse. I really figured we were at where we were going to be for good.

6 months on cbd faithfully, twice a day after meals, he stopped having accidents. It's been about a month now. I kept thinking we were just getting lucky, but he started going up the stairs again. And not peeing. It started once a day, and this week it's like 3 to 4 times a day now. Slow but sure, on his own with eagle eyes watching him he's doing it!

We started him on Synovi G3 about a week ago and his movement is starting to get even more fluid and easier for him. He'll be in the double dose for about another 3 weeks, then i will move him down to maintenance.

I cannot tell you why he has regained control of his bladder, is it the cbd? He went a long time.. since his cruciate ligament surgery, slowly peeing more and more often in the house. I do know for sure that his cognitive functions are shockingly better. He is more relaxed, happier, and more active. Maybe the cognitive function reminded him he needs to pee outside. We still put a diaper on him every night, but every morning they are dry, and sometimes he takes it off himself, haha. Here he is...

We will continue with the cbd at the dose he is on. We will continue with the Synovi too. I don't know how much time we have left together, but my plan is to keep him as happy and healthy as he can be so he can enjoy his golden years.

Many hugs and much love,

Jackie and Mitchell and the gang ❤️❤️❤️

Wow!  Just wow!

How wonderful for all, especially Mitch!

I wish I could think of something more eloquent to say... but for now- WOW!

BTW- that's sort of the way I hobble up the stairs after a long day big-grin

Thanks Karen and Sally. Sorry for so many typos, that was on my cell which has a mind of it's own sometimes, lol. The first time he went upstairs like that I was sound asleep in bed and I woke panicked because I just knew for sure he would pee, but he didn't. He is back to sleeping upstairs every night now. We have a barrier at the bottom of the stairs,  We really cannot put a baby gate in front of it, so we got a wooden fence like barrier that is flexible, and Mitchell has figured a way around it.

I probably owe some thanks to Bo (that is my other news) who loves to be all over Mitchell in his waking hours. Mitch has decided that he needs some time off sometimes, so he goes upstairs for peace and quiet from the pup who is not allowed up there. That is the haven for anybody that is not quite in the mood for puppy hijinks.

We had to separate Bo and Izzy. The lady that rescued them took Izzy back, and Izzy seems to be transitioning beautifully. Bo is too. They started fighting pretty fiercely. Hair up, teeth out, skin getting torn up. They are both fantastic pups, but as a pair they were too busy trying to compete with each other and it brought our training efforts to a halt. Bo has calmed down incredibly well, it was almost instantaneous. Izzy was the same way. She is living with another older Aussie and a tough cat that can kick her tail if she gets out of hand. Huck just cannot handle the chase, Andy does not like it either and of the two pups Bo is calmer and more gentle.

Once the separation took place (and I stopped crying) the transformation was amazing. Bo is behaving, almost totally house trained, learning tricks, and very attentive. We really tried to keep them together, but I truly think in this instance that separation was the healthiest thing that we could do for their development. I am afraid if we did not separate them that neither would have turned out very well.

Here are the boys spending some quiet time together. All in all I think they are doing really well clap

Lots of love and hugs,

Jackie heart

Oh, I love the videos Jackie 💓

And how about that wagging tail when he came down ???

Precious 😍 I just wish I could hug him through the screen ✊🏼

Mitch looks really happy and well, I’m sure your instincts are right and Bo plays a part in his going upstairs 😉

So glad to hear his peeing is over and Bo’s is on the way too, phew ... finally your washing machine can have a break 🤖

Lovely update sweetie, I’m really thrilled with the news!

Hugs and cuddles galore 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

❤❤❤MITCHELL❤❤❤   You are just the sweetest, most gentle, huggable, wagging ball of fur, best stair master evvvver!!!    And I do believe  I see a little bit of pride in that stair swagger of yours! 😎

Cannot believe  how much Bo has grown!  Such a handsome  boy!

And yes, you absolutely did what was best for Bo AND Izzy!!!   I know it was hard, but it was so selfless  and showed so much compassion  for their individual  well-being.  It took a lot of guts.  Yet, neither Bo nor Izzy felt any of the stress or any of the human emotions.  All Izzy knows is she was back at her birth home with all her birth humans and dog pals...and that was a great place to be!  😎❤

Hugs
