Hi All,

Sadly I could not do anymore for my beautiful Holly, who would have been 13 on October 3, 2016.

Her leg was very painful and she was showing signs of lung problems.

Holly brought love and joy to our house, and had a mischievous head strong personality which we adored. She had a love of cheese and going to the beach, where she spent her last day.

This forum has been very helpful and I've met lovely people with useful stories and information, thankyou.

So glad you posted!  Please check out the Coping with Loss forum for some messages of support.  I was never able to figure out how to post photos in a forum (cue Jerry for the instructions), but my daughter found it easier to post them to a blog.  We would love to see photos to celebrate Holly's life!

As Christine said, we would love to see photos of Holly to celebrate the happy life she had.  And we are so sorry for your loss - here is the thread started by Christine letting us know you had to release Holly from her pain so you can see the other messages already posted.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

Lisa and family, our condolences go out to you across the miles, we are so very sorry.

You gave Holly all of your heart and the very best life a dog could ask for. In her new life as an angel above, she will repay you for what you've given, by guiding you with a loving paw and heart as you walk your own earthly journey.

I see you posted elsewhere about her, I'm going over there now. Again, we are so sorry for your loss.

I can only imagine what the greeting was like at the Bidge when Holly arrived, young and vibrant!

Pretty sure these pictures depict a lot of what her "welcoming committe" looked like!

Holly probably chased a few sheep, then are a plate of cheese after she cooled off with a dip in the ocean.

Letting you know we are all sending you our love.heart
