I have just joined the forum, wasn't sure if this was the right place to introduce ourselves!

I am Em, a Veterinary Nurse in England, UK. I have 5 rescue dogs, the most recent addition a gorgeous little Staffie pup called Cherry who was abandoned over a 6 foot wall with an untreated badly fractured elbow which was non-repairable. I took her on as a foster and she had her leg amputated on 8th August. When her home offer fell through we decided she was for keeps and she became an official member of the family. She is now around 5 months old and doing great on three paws.

As well as Cherry, we have 4 other canine kids. Asha, 9 year old GSD mix. Elliot, 8 year old Staffie/Greyhound mix. Bean, 8 year old JRT. Alfie, 3 year old Golden Retriever. All special with stories of their own.

I do flyball with Elliot & Alfie (and eventually, Cherry can have a go if she likes it – there is already one three legged flyball dog in the UK) and have my own club called Karma Kanines.

I also have my own dog forum online but will not link to it here in case it is not permitted.

We also have 4 cats (13 year old Finn, 8 year old Riley, 6 year old Mook & Theo) and a couple of ex-battery hens (Sunshine & Bunny).

Other than that, what little spare time I have I like to spend reading, cooking and going to the pub!

It's lovely that there is a community such as this for tripawd owners, I hope to get to know some of you better. If anyone is on facebook, Cherry has her own page there called Tripawd Cherry – please "like" us!

Hey Em, welcome! This is indeed the right place to introduce your amazing pack. Thanks for finding us!

What a lucky day for Cherry to become a Tripawd…that's my Mom's birthday! We're glad she's doing well. Your pack sounds really active and fun, I'm sure she won't miss a step in getting her fun back. We can't wait to hear about more of her adventures. And we are indeed Fans of hers on Facebook! Thanks for stopping by.

It's better to hop on three legs than to limp on four.™

Welcome Em and Cherry and pack! I have liked your Facebook page.

Wish i lived near a pub…

All the best, looking forward to hearing of Cherry's adventures,
Jackie, Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Welcome Em, Cherry and pack!

Nice FB page.  I love the pictures of the pack piled on the couch.  Cherry looks like quite a character (and a handful!), no wonder she became part of the permanent pack.

Looking forward to learning more about you and the adventures of the pack.

Welcome Cherry & Em! I'll have to also go to FB and "like" you. It sounds like you have quite a busy household with all the fur-babies you have. How do you have time to do anything??? LOL. Welcome to Tripawds, and hope to read more of your adventures.
