Foxy is around 11 now.  She was a stray to start with an estimated born on date of 1999.  My Grandmother owned her and died a few weeks ago.

I already owned a < 2 year old Australian Cattle Dog / Lab mix (and 4 cats).  Adding a tripawd that's 11 already was a scary thought.

My Grandmother loved this dog.  Spent a lot of money caring for her esp since the amputation took place only 9 months ago on 10/02/2009.  Foxy had developed a Lick Granuloma in her right foreleg which was congenitally deformed slightly at birth.  She has adapted well since the surgery.

I found this site looking for options to cart her while my Cattle Dog walks on our 30-45 min morning walk.  Foxy does 1-2 blocks then needs me to carry her 1-2 blocks.  Even at only 23 lbs this is hard especially when needing an umbrella.

She is a great dog though and well worth the effort.

Foxy, I'm so sorry about your Mom. But you've got yourself a great new home, congratulations! I know Grandma is smiling down, happy to know that you found a home with someone she loved too.

Oh MY DOG!  I have to see a picture!  Does she look like my Comet?  (I believe she is corgi/lab or golden)

Welcome to our wonderful world of 3-leggedness!  Comet is almost 12 and was born without a functioning front left leg.

You'll find lots of stuff to help you!  I didn't find the site until last year and I've had Comet since she was a puppy!

A wagon :)  I am looking now.  She's a small, only about 20-24" laying donw.  I like that Little Tikes Sit and Ride, but at 48" long it may be a bit much to bring along on daily walks.  I am going to start a new thread about that.  I checked out some kids stores but most have wheels more suited to the indoors or very harsh on non-carpet areas.

What's a "baba sling"?

It's the sling they use to carry infants.  (I had to google it!)

I can carry her no problem :)…especially now she is on the downward weight spiral.  My vet said at her current weight she was too heavy…she's lost 2.1lbs since we got her.  Our daily morning walks are paying off and she is spending more time walking than riding now.  She has a couple 'favorite' spots along the walk I know she will jump out too if in the wagon so I stop and let her do it.  It was getting too hairy her just flying out of the wagon on three legs.

She likes to jump

in and out of wagon as she gets tired/recharged.  I need to build a

little platform for her to have better balance.
