What a beautiful (and happy) girl you have there -

So glad to see she is recovering well from surgery – its tough the first couple weeks (and I think its probably harder on the pawrents than the dog) but it does get easier…

Keeping our fingers and paws crossed that you have a very uneventful weekend.laugh

Sounds like Kirby is a quick healer! Hope she continues to recover quickly. She is so pretty! I'm sure she will be amazing you shortly. It really is inspirational to see how well dogs adapt and deal with adversity. But the next two weeks might be a little rough. Abby seemed quite depressed and wanted to be by herself a lot after her surgery, but it was amazing how quickly we were back going to her favorite dog beach. If you hit a rough patch or have questions, you can usually find someone here who has dealt with the same thing. It's a great group of very supportive folks here!

Jackie, Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
