Hi All,

Duncan is 23 days post-surgery and doing very well.  He had his right forelimb amputated on July 28th.  We had a second Fentanyl patch put on after 1 week but pain seems to be minimal now.  Still taking Rimadyl.  Vet said we could stop the Tramadol.  He passed his two-week checkup with flying colors.  He even jumped up on the window sill to bark at passers-by (naughty!!)  He seems to be barking a little less than he used to but, otherwise, is getting back to normal.  Chemo starts on August 30th.  The summer heat in Chicago seems to be more bothersome than the surgery recovery.  I keep it at 68 degrees in the house but it's hot outside for potty breaks.  Here are some pics of Duncan and his brother, Cognac, and his sister, Pepper.  All were adopted from the Illinois St. Bernard Rescue.

You wanna know what's funny?  I couldn't figure out which one was Duncan, because neither one looked any different!  I guess tripawd looks normal to me know :)  He's so adorable and I'm glad to see he's doing super fantastically!
