It is now nine months since Avy had his back leg amputated due to cancer.  We opted not to do chemo because the difference would only be a few months or so we were told.  It would be 2-3 without as opposed to 6-12 with.  He is still doing great and enjoying every day.  It is great for a worry wort like me to see the free spirit of a dog who has no idea how long he has to live.  They truly Live in the moment.  Something people would be wise to learn.

At his check up last month our vet wasn't able to detect any symptoms of cancer at the moment. I am still hyper vidulent for any changes in breathing but so far so good.

Loving him one day at a time.

Happy 9 months Avy!  Way to show you are a special boy and statistics can be blown out of the water!  It is amazing how much we can learn from them about just living each day fully and joyfully and no worries about the tomorrow's in life.  The life lessons our Max taught me will serve me well forever.  Hugs to you and handsome Avy!
