Awww your Chloe looks all grown up!!!  My Chloe and I are starting week 3 of our separation anxiety training and it seems to be going well!  She likes her kitchen "rug" so much that she actually leaves my room (while I am still in it) to go downstairs (even in the dark) to go sleep on it!!!  I guess she is learning it is ok to be apart from me at times and I don't have to tell her to "sit and stay" to do it as much!

We hope your Chloe is doing well too!

I think she is adorable no matter what kind of cut she has!  I bet she is going to be a sweet princess before you know it!

You really did a great job on the cut.  I hope her SA issues resolve with time.  It is sad when they are so dependent they don't want to see you leave.  Trouble was always willing to go with ANYONE – anytime!  New friend, mom – gotta go!

I have now discovered the real reason that Emily wanted me to rescue Chloe. She wanted to bring a Sheltie into the house. I do not talk about it much, but we were blessed with a wonderful Shetland Sheepdog that Emily named Alexandra. She passed over on April 22, 2008 from cancer less than seven months before Cherry's diagnosis. Allie (also know as Princess Alexandra) preceeded Cherry by more than three years and always wondered when this interloper was going back where she came so that she could once more be an "only child". This newest member to join our family is called Kara, which I am told is a typical Scotish name. While Allie was a Bi Blue Sheltie, Kara is a Blue Merle. This means that Kara has some brown in her coat. Below are "baby" photos of each.

Kara and Chloe want desperately to play together (and get into trouble together), but Dad is having his way until little Kara gets a little bigger (and house trained.) All my energy is now being spent attempting to keep up with a fifteen month old rescue who is going through puppy-hood now that she has her "forever" home and a fifteen week old Sheltie. In time, I am sure that things will settle some, but that may take years.

I am also posting a photo of Chloe attempting to duplicate tripawd Cherry's ears flying, all smiles, and running in the side yard photo. Since Chloe does not yet understand "Come", her photo was more of returning with the tennis ball during a side yard romp. (aka Caira Sue).

Thanks for letting me indulge with our news.

Bob & Emily, congratulations!!!  I'm so happy for you guys!  And of course, we can't wait to meet both Chloe and Kara, hopefully in the next couple months.  We're having Nor Cal Tripawd Party withdrawals down here in So Cal!!

The new arrival is beautifully colored.  Can't wait to see the grown up version (and I'm sure you  can't wait either). Kara and Chloe will make great playmates.  I'm happy for you and Emily, and happy Kara has found such a wonderful home. – Congrats!

Congratulations, Bob!  Your girls are indeed beautiful.  And Chloe sure does have the "ears flying, running, smiling, and having fun" look down pat!  I think Zuzu would love to meet Chloe and romp with her.  big-grin Chloe and Kara are both so lucky to have found you.  And we're sure you are so lucky to have found them, too.  Best wishes for a wonderful 2011 as a family.  We can't wait to hear of your adventures together!

Hugs,

Holly, Zuzu and Susan
