Honey B, how wonderful that you are getting your stitches out tomorrow!!! You’re going to feel sooooo much better!!!

Please let us know how she is doing tomorrow. Hoping all is well for your darling girl. Try not to worry, the redness may be nothing to worry about at all.

Maybe a little piece of chicken or something else that’s tasty will perk her up!winker

all the best from Stewie and his packheart

Hi, Honey got her stitches out this morning. She must have been in pain as she kept snapping at the vet as she was snipping them. Poor Honey. The scar is red in the middle but vet assured us that she will heal fine. She is still in her t-shirt as she’s licking a lot. She was a very tired and fed up when she got home but cheered up in the afternoon.

Great news!  Honey even though getting those stitches tweaked you at that moment you're going to feel so much better now.  Keep rocking this recovery thing!  You've got this beautiful girl!

Whew! Glad the vet was able to look at it and get the stitches out. If you notice any more snipping or unusual behavior though, let them know OK?

Here's to being on the road to recovery!

So glad she's doing ok.  She's a beautiful girl.  That incision will get itchy as it heals as well as sore.  Ask your doc if cool compresses might ease the itch and discomfort.  You are doing a pawsome job!!

Thanks so much everyone. Honey seems to be a bit tired today and resting a lot. I treated her to one of those doggie bone things that she always loved but it nearly broke my heart to see her struggling to hold it and chew it ad she used to hold it between her two paws but she managed it in the end. I noticed that she's a bit whimpery today and wants to be by my side constantly.

How cute does Honey look in her non slip socks.... They didn't last very long though before she pulled them off. Ah well lots of carpets and mats put down so won't move them just yet!

No I won't take away the rugs because she's still slipping a bit when she gets excited especially when the kids arrive in from school. But thank God she hasn't fallen.

You are doing a great job! It is amazing all the things we find to worry about, isn't it? How is she doing with her incision? I am sure that has to feel better than sutures OR staples. Either way is a win win for her clap

Honey looks adorable styling her socks and pretty little tee! 🙂

Can't remember if Honey's still on some pain meds or not, but my Happy Hannah needed them for about three weeks (with some tapering during the third week).

You might try putting  a bone into the end one of those big Kongs.  You can also sort of wedge them between two big cushions.  As you saw though, Honey figured it out though 🙂
