Oh Rileydog, we are glad it's not cancer but bummed that you're feeliing like a pincushion. You've been through so much! Here's what we are thinking over here at Tripawds...

Has your Mom gotten a second opinion yet? It could be very helpful considering your vet is stumped.

About that Previcox. Please watch for side effects. It made me sooooo sick after being on it about 2 weeks. I had to take Pepcid AC after to soothe the tummy ulcer it gave me. Tell your Mom to watch for signs of runny poo. If you get sick that way, stop taking it imediately.

Elbow sores can be really painful. There's a company out there called DogLeggs that makes vests to help cover elbows and prevent those icky spots. Something like this might help. I know that keeping an ace bandage on is tough, they definitely don't stay up on me. I just get all tangled up in them!

Not being a vet or anything, we really can't say if physical therapy is in order yet. What about trying acupuncture and seeing how that goes? It really did wonders for me. Finding an acupuncturist with a nutrition background is very helpful.

Oh Rileydog, we hope that you feel better soon and get back to your spunky self. Please keep us posted, we are thinking of you.

-Jerry

hi riley and hooray for the good news!

I started to get elbow sore and mom got a temperpeudic mattress topper at target and folded it in half doubling the thickness.  resting on this at night seems to help as did some of the pain just being gone so I could actually enjoy resting in other positions!

take care of yourself, acupuncture worked for me too.
