She started acting funny midday, restless, refused treats, spent a lot of time in my bathroom.  Almost collapsed at the emergency vet.  She has blood in her abdomen, and some kind of mass.  Likely cancer, small chance it is benign.  They are taking X-rays now.  Don't want to fight less than I did for Otis, but feeling that this might be a very difficult deferent situation,

Otis - 106 pound lab/Dane mix, lost his right front leg to osteosarcoma on Febuary 9, 2016.  Four rounds of carboplatin completed in April, 2016.  Lung mets August 25, 2016.  Said goodbye too soon on September 4, 2016.   Lost his adopted sister, Tess, suddenly on October 9, 2016. likely due to hemangiosarcoma.

Wherever they are, they are together.

Tess has joined Otis at the Rainbow Bridge.  X-rays showed a mass of tumors around her heart, in addition to whatever was in her stomach.  As much as I feel guilty for not fighting as hard for her as I did for Otis, as the vet pointed out, this was a very different situation.  Wherever they are, they are together again.

There was no fight to wage, nothing you could do but let her go.

I can't believe this happened, I'm so so sorry Christine.

I can't think of anything else to say right now, except I am thinking of you and sending all the strength I have to help you though.

Oh Christine, my heart breaks for your loss! When I read your  post on this before, my first thought was that maybe Otis was calling for Tess to be with him. Never doubt that you had her best interests at heart - you fought every bit as hard for her as you did Otis, and knew that you had to make the hardest decision. Wishing you peace in the days ahead, know we are here for you.

Oh my god crying I am so so sorry to read this! Please don't feel like you didn't fight hard enough for Tess as you did Otis, there was nothing you could do for her.

At least she is happy with Otis now, both running healthy around the rainbow bridge.

I can't imagine how heart breaking this is for you, please know everyone is here for you, particularly all the good mates you've made (opposed to newbies like me).

Hugs and love to you heartheart

Tried to go to chat vut couldn't.... .I see others are logged in still who will be able to get in there if you feel like voing there.

We're all heartbroken for you Christine, absolutely gutted.

The only thing that makes sense is she needed to be with her Otis. That's why, as you were looking for a companion for her, no dog seemed right. She only wanted Otis and now they are both together.
