Chan got a clean bill of health to proceed with his surgery tomorrow. Clean, healthy X-rays of his heart and lungs and it looks as though the tumor has not involved the bone. I brought him home today. I had the option to board him there, but 24 hours penned up, he would have amputated his own toe. He was panting and stressed, so home he is until tomorrow AM. I thought I was going to throw up the closer we got today. Felt a bit unreal. Things went so differently though, once we were there, I did ok. I had a special penny I found the other day. It is a 2014. I had it in my pocket. Everyone loved him, so I think he will be treated well. She was a bit hesitant to operate this week, as we are just weaning from the Prednisone. We weighed the options, one of which was him waiting 4 to 6 weeks and decided it was best to proceed. This way he will have a week in and hopefully maybe sutures removed before I go in for mine. Oye! Lori, Ty, Chan and gang

Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Thanks for the update on our Chan Man!! Sooo glad everything has checked out well for him!! I'm glad for BOTH of you he came home tonight!

I can only imagine how sickening it was to go back "there". But I'm glad you were able to separate Chan's experience from any "previous" ones. And I have noooo doubt everyone fell in love with him! He is such a charmer!!

We'll be waiting for an update tomorrow. Keep your lucky penny in your pocket, right next to the pocketful of positive energy we stashed in there while you weren't looking! 🙂

Lucy!! Get your little Nurse's uniform all starched a dd ready to go!!

Love you dear friend

I know, I can't imagine going through the amputation ordeal two times! See Lori, you are one tough lady. You survived!

We're thinking of you and sending lots of love to you and the Chan Man.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Thanks all for the love and support. I means so much. Surgery is over and all went well. I will be picking him up around 10 AM tomorrow. Now we wait to see what's biopsy says. Not that it will make much difference other than some supplements, but will be nice to know for sure. I had his bag packed with all his goodies and of course a Mama note with instructions.I spoil him a little. ❤️  In my defense, he is allergic to everything. Someone asked in an earlier post, yes Chandler is a quad paw. As far as long walks, he meanders around our back woods and sneaks to the barn on occasion, but he runs no marathons.😆 As it is his middle toe, he may have to get used to it. I am a bit worried about getting his 75 lb heft into my car tomorrow. He uses his front legs a lot to get up and down from car, couch etc. we shall see. Lori, Ty, Chan and gang
