I think I need that.... I do not know how I have missed out on this thread, you guys have made me smile catching up on stuff. I am cheating, doing paperwork, reading, computer work, reading... you can see where my head is at lol.  I am so glad Stu did well! Stu is good, Spike is good, how is mama?  When I am home I will practice my font skills lolol too funny!

Phantom limb pain... so glad I found this. Is this a forever thing to look for? I have not seen anything in Huck yet, but that may change once I unleash him, lol.  Anything special I need to look for? Any clues? I suspect I will unleash the beast this weekend laughing

phantom limb pain is basically when the nerves are still firing off messages to a limb that's not there.  It usually presents itself with out of the blue yelps ...or loud meows...And the dog or cat gets up quickly and tries to run away from the pain.  It's a much more inte se reaction than just "regular" pain.  Generally it lasts maybe thirty seconds or less.  After the furbaby settles down, it's back to normal.   Eventually then brain figures it out and it clears up.  TThe Gabapentin helps it too.

It doesn't happen a lot, bjrt it does harlpen and it is treatable and not furever.

Hugs

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Hi Jerry!

thank you, it’s been a much lighter day today and we are so very grateful for that! Stewie slept for 12 hours straight after he ate his supper last night! He was soooo relaxed!clap

I have had Ortho-Vionomy done on myself and it works wonders! Thanks for finding such a great video! I don’t have to go through the treatment with Stewie on the floor, but we both get a good ZEN from Leslie!

Happy Hopping today!

Hugs and sloppy kisses to Wyatt!

😆I’m glad our errors made you laugh Jackie! 🤓 I’m not sure if you will get very far with us genius’ trying to teach you! 😂

apparently I still haven’t perfected the system... when I think I’m changing the size and am all chuffed about my lovely colours and all, Sally comes along and tells me it looks nothing like I thought it did! 🙃

if nothing else, I get to play and learn! 😜

Phantom limb pain... so glad I found this. Is this a forever thing to look for? I have not seen anything in Huck yet, but that may change once I unleash him, lol.  Anything special I need to look for? Any clues? I suspect I will unleash the beast this weekend

It was just the other night that Stewie did exactly what Sally had described, the sudden jumping up and helping out! It was over within a few seconds and I just went over and rubbed his belly, he was more than happy to have the distraction! He has also licked at a certain spot on his scar area, ever since he suffered from the Sarcoma there.

Today Stewie had a really good mate come over, his name is Luke (a beautiful Voxer) and they were sooooo hoppy to see each other! It has been over 3 months and Stewie knew exactly who I was talking about when I told him that Lukie was coming over! Usually after a good romp around Stewie will be laying down and licking the area too much for my liking. Although to his credit he stops when I ask him to. (Until I’m not looking again! way-cool

Since Stewies acupuncture and Ortho-B treatment yesterday he has been so relaxed. I have only seen him licking the said area 4 times! To me that’s a huge improvement and I don’t think I’m seeing it through Mothers Fairy eyes! 👀  I will definitely be taking Stewie back in two weeks.

As for how Mama is doing, thanks for asking! I am feeling a whole lot lighter today! Paul and I have been saying all day that we are so grateful that our worries are for naught. Stewie is a true gift everyday, he and my Spikey boy never cease to amaze us! Spikey is such a strong willed, gentle loving soul 😽, but Spitfire Spikey is definitely not one to mess with if he is not in the mood😾mad! He has mellowed a lot in his old age, but he still told us yesterday who the Boss is in this family! little-devil

Unleash the beast at your own risk and pleasure! 😂 I’m sure we will all be laughing WITH YOU when you retell the ‘tails’! Hugs and ear rubs to our Prince Huckleberry please!

Good morning watu wazuri!

here’s a collage of my incredible family! I love ❤️ them to the moon 🌙 and back 🌏 !

I didn’t want to take up anymore of Rusty the Bunnymans forum, so I am posting the family picture up here...

The picture of Stewie and Dad is from the last trip on The Toaster, at least for this season... poor old Toasty McBoaty is still stranded on the rocks, but all of the water is out of the cabin and the engine, so that’s a major bonus! Plus we unstuck the UTV from the mud hole! (a critical piece of household machinery around here!)

The picture of Spike is from today. His eye is looking much less inflamed. There is no more green goop and it doesn’t seem to be bothering him anymore. He will remain on the antibiotic eye drops (Cilocan 3% 5ml) and the antibiotic ointment (3-Biotic BNP 3.5g).

Chester McFiend and Prissy Miss Lily didn’t want to be left out, so I included a picture of the too.

We are all faring much better after our storm and we want to say thanks to everyone for all of your support and suggestions! You are in invaluable community of caring souls!

Millions of kisses and much love from The Allen Clan! ❤️❤️❤️

Hello Jackie and dear Huckleberry

isnt that funny that he is staying in his kennel, it’s probavly not until you are out of the room, will he figure it is his time to come out. Maybe he is thinking that he is not allowed... he’s been told to stay in there so long that it’s what has become his new norm! what a good boy! I’m sure it won’t take him long to come out and explore! It’s obvious you have had the purrrfect cat cave set up for him. He’s like, nah, life is PRETTY DAMN GOOD IN HERE!!!😸

Have you set up his food dish and litter outside his kennel too, just leaving his bed in there? That would give him a good clear message. That way he will know that as the food and litter move outwards, so can he!

Massive cuddles to you Prince Huckleberry and many good ear scratches!😻

Thank you! Spikes eye is looking even better tonight. No brown goop at all. Paul and I are mixing a concoction of extras to his daily regiment as well. We have for the last two years been giving Spike drops of Shaga mushroom tea and also a Pet Well Being product, Kidney Support Gold. We are now adding the I-Lysene paste. Even though there is no difinitive proof that the Lysene will help with his Herpes Conjunctivitis, it certainly can’t do an harm to try. We’re so thrilled that his numbers are holding... maybe the drops really are helping! We believe that the drops that we got From Pet Well being for our boy Mojo, when he was dealing with his Lung cancer, did help some and gave us more time that we were given!

It’s all about hope and a positive attitude and also, you don’t get anything if you don’t ask for it! 🙏❤️

Love and cuddles all around from Petra and her happy Clan ❤️❤️❤️

Rusty did the same thing for the first week. We actually just took the crate down last night but set everything up in the closet exactly how it was laid out in the crate.

Rusty "The Bunnyman" adopted us in 2014.  Aug/Sept 2017, back left leg amputated (HSA cancer).  He remained cancer free over 900 days. Cancer returned as of emergency visit on day 931. 15 days later, he gained his wings 04/18/2020 due to congestive heart failure.  He will always watch over his fellow tripawds and their hoomins with Head Scritches and Sand Paper Kisses.

Peyta,

Your family is beautiful!  Thank you for sharing!

When my chiffy girl started taking seizure medication, we gave her the kidney support as well . I strongly believe that helped her get a few extra years out of her life. She passed away from cancer at 18 1/2 years old. My little Tuxedo.

I’m sorry you have also lost a fur baby to 💩 Cancer Gina! Little Tuxedo did amazingly well to live to 18 1/2!!! She did her Mum proud!❤️

My sister uses Urinary Support by Pet Well Being, we both swear by it. I will be getting some for Stewie, I just have to figure out which one...

Take care Gina and hoppy Hopping to Bunnyman on his adventures!winker

Good morning sweet Holly and handsome Purrrrrkins!

Love the patch of colour this morning! Spitfire Spike is definitely feeling more back to himself today, he had me up for his breakfast at 5:30am! No rest for the wicked heh girl?!little-devil I swear Stewie is the most relaxed that I have seen him in months, since his acupuncture and Ortho-Bionomy treatment! We are definitely keeping up with those appointments!big-blink

I niticed too that the picture isn’t showing up... I think it’s because I used the collage this time? Would you believe the gods worked in our favour for a couple of hours yesterday... the winds picked up and so did the waves... Paul and I ran down to the beach and got the Toaster off the rocks!clap We tied her up to the remaining dock with a million ropes and some friends are coming to help tow her to safety this afternoon! Toasty McBoaty 🚣 will be home snug, safe and sound by this afternoon! We will wrap her in tarps, put the heat on inside and bring her back to health!!!big-grin

All fur kids thank you for the extra 🍗🐟🥓🧀 this morning! Miss piglet Lily especially! She is a little monkey you know... of all of my kittens, she is the one that’s on a special diet, as she came to us in diabetic remission! Mention the word food and she’s there!!! Never a dull moment heh?! way-cool

Love and hugs to you and Mr. purrrkins and take good care of yourself too!!!

Petra, Spike, Stewie and the youngsters!❤️❤️❤️
